  1. He can't I would actually say it's Planet Hollywood, they have been one more often on Hotwire recently, Plus PH currently has some pretty cheap prices especially if you are a AAA or CAA member ($89/night) currently I am reserved there for the 24 and 25th of sept, this way I have that price if it goes down or I can get a better deal somewhere else then I can cancel. P.S. my review of the Luxor is CRAP, better off else where like at one of the "station" hotels in my opinion. (just as far away from center strip but way better beds and rooms, and way cheaper)
  2. the flamingo (pretax) is currently more on hotwire for the dates of sept 24-26 than it is on flamingo.com with "hot rates" selected I would suggest everyone check the company website before purchasing the las vegas 3.5* center strip on hotwire. (while I am not 100% sure it is the flamingo I am 99% sure)
  3. Just thought I would post another example hotwire search for downtown toronto, there is a 4.5 star downtown west trip advisor 120+ 3.5circles I go on tripadvisor 3 hotels match this. Le Meridien King Edward InterContinental Toronto Centre The Strathcona Hotel. look at amenities strathcona does not have a spa so stroke it off the list. Get a map of both Le Meridien King Edward and InterContinental Toronto Centre and only the InterContinental Toronto Centre is in the right area. I'd put money on that being the hotel, incidentally 153 per night is bloody cheap for a hotel in that location, never mind a 4.5-5*. (for this one I didn't use the list on this site)
  4. I just thought I would throw my little tip in here, wasn't sure where to put it so here it is. Before I even found betterbidding.com, I would often check out the number of reviews and the tripadvisor traveler rating. Very often there was only one hotel, that matched, in fact I have bumped in to two that could both fit the trip advisor rating and number of reviews, although I am sure such a thing exists. Ever since I found betterbidding my life got a lot easier, now I can very easily narrow any of my trip advisor searches to a few hotels (normally under 5) thanks to those wonderful betterbidding.com HOTWIRE hotel lists. Example currently there is a Las Vegas 3.5* center strip listing on hotwire, thanks to Betterbidding.com I am pretty sure it will be planet hollywood, Bally's, or Flamingo. Now I check out the tripadvisor traveler rating and number of reviews 3.5 circles and 1560+ searching for the three hotels I find PH with 1492 reviews 3.5 circles, Flamingo with 1570 3.5 circles, and bally's 3.5 915. This makes me pretty sure I am looking at the flamingo on HOTWIRE.com. Any objections to this tactic? It has always worked for me, so I just thought I would share. I guess my suggestion is that people post the trip advisor results in here once they win as well, because the amenities are often the same the number of reviews could really set two properties apart.
  5. Yep it is now a 2* listing on PRICELINE.com (the previous winner had it as a 3*).. on trip adviser it is listed as 3*
  6. I just won holiday inn, Williams, AZ for 65 per night (plus fees) for the nights of spet. 22 and 23. cheapest price on holidayinn.com was $90. The next highest price I tried was $60, I used the grand canyon zone as a rebid (yes there was a hotel in the same star level, but it's price was higher, (and I didn't REALLY mind if I was staying in Tusayan.)
  7. Hello all been a user of this site for a while, but I decided to join finally, I don't know why I didn't earlier. First off, on priceline I just won holiday inn, williams, AZ for 65 per night (plus fees) for the nights of spet. 22 and 23. for those that dont' know williams is 3h:20m from vegas 1hour to the grand canyon south rim. best yet, for my girl and I to fly from detroit to vegas it is only costing $58.50 return including taxes each. (spirit airlines sale) now for the real trick I will be staying in Vegas on the nights of the 24 and 25th of September, I would like to stay in Paris hotel and casino (although there are others I wouldn't mind like T.I. (BUT NOT LUXOR!!) What would be the best way of getting one of these center/north strip 4* properties at a great price, (HOTWIRE, PRICELINE, or any site). Paris wants 140 per night (avg), I would like to spend around 100/night base price at most. (see if I can do this whole trip for under 700) If there is a good way of getting something like flamingo for 60 or 70 I would be up for that too. thanks in advanced. (if anyone has won something like this around that time please post so I can get an idea of what I might be able to do)
