  1. FWIW, my experience through this whole process is that the hotels offered change depending on 1. the date 2. the number of days being booked together 3. the number of guests 4. time of day (as different hotels were offered at different times of the day, with all other variables being equal). Yes, I ended up finding the hotel I desired for one night out of the three we're staying. Then today, the other two nights became available, so I'm beyond thrilled! 4* Sheraton on the Falls $94 + 11.23 tax = $111.23 Amenities: Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business, Internet, Golf, Spa, Children's Activity Program Still am curious about the other hotel listing "smoke free rooms", for future reference though.:-)
  2. I've been toying with various scenerios for a 4* Niagara Falls, any number of days from June 17-20, and number of guests, 2A1C, 2A2C and 2A. From much reading & research, it seems that many times the 2A1C brings up a likely Doubletree match, based on the laundry & spa options. Many times the 2A brings up what seems to be the 5 common options: internet, fitness, business, pool, restaurant; which could be any number of hotels. However, I'm being stumped by one right now (with 2a2c) that includes the 5 common options and an additional "smoke free rooms", which I don't see as an option in the hotels list on the sticky thread. I read in another post that that could signifies a Sheraton or Starwood. Any insight? What I'm really aiming for is Sheraton on the Falls, which if I read correctly would be signified by a "children's activities" option, but in checking several times a day, over the past week or so, it's never been an option with any scenerio I've input. It seems as though many folks have had success on Priceline with that hotel match in the past few months, but I can't take that risk. Any insight into how Hotwire decides which hotels to list, how it changes several times a day and it's relation to Priceline? EDIT: Wow, call it a coincidence! Just minutes after posting this, I finally found a combination that worked for one of the nights to get SOTF!! I also used the BB HOTWIRE Link.:-)
  3. 1 room (2 adults 1 child) @89.00 per night x 3night(s) = 267 Tax recovery charge and fees = 42.43 Total = 309.43 The listed Hotel Amenities were Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Interent, Business, Golf Special thanks to hanamarutaro for the earlier hotwire purchase listing.
  4. 3* ended up being revealed as: Wingate by Wyndham 800 Corporate Ridge Drive Birmingham, Alabama 35242 At least it includes breakfast.
  5. Please, please do report back on any Marriott success, as that would be ideal for us. TIA
  6. Thanks to the post by tinnub for $75, I attempted $70 (+tax) and it went through on my first try. After reading reviews at tripadvisor, it seems to be a toss up as to whether or not this will be ideal. Still, a decent price for the location.
