  1. Yeah the GR Solaris is comming up for me too. I think I saw Dreams as reciently as yesterday but am not sure. I guess that I will wait a few days and try some more too.
  2. Hey all, Been reading through recient posts regarding priceline in Europe. I'm going to be going this summer (June 8-21). Have lots of general concerns but will start with a specific question: Need a room on June 20th near Heathrow airport. Will be flying in from Madrid to Heathrow on the 20th and out to the US on the morning of the 21st. I want to know if there will be any issues getting between hotels in that area and the airport for the 2 transfers. I understand that the tube may be an option. We are young and willing to walk as needed. Thanks everyone for the help in advance
  3. Hey everyone, Just wondering if anyone can provide me with link to a shuttle service that runs from Fort Lauderdale airport to port of Miami. I am taking a cruise on Carnival but I don't want to use their shuttle service because the day after the cruise I am staying in a nice Miami hotel (through priceline). If anyone knows of a good link then please let me know. Oh yeah, just 2 people traveling toghether. I appreciate it.
  4. Started bidding at $82, 85, 89, 93, 97, 101, successful at 105 Picked this up for the day after a cruise, very excited.
  5. Started at $26, rebid to $30 then $33 then got it at $36 :)
  6. Hello All, I have had what I consider great success with Priceline for rental cars. I was wondering if anyone had any rebid tips or price guidelines when considering Priceline for rental cars. Thanks Chris
  7. I've been trying to get a hotel in this area for these dates for several months. I began bidding at $60 and used free rebids up to the accepted price. Wondering if I will need to rent a car or would it be better to just use shuttles etc. Thanks for all the advice. Chris
  8. Just curious, where did you find the lower rate for the Peabody? I checked for the times that I would like to go to Orlando and Hotwire has a $370 rate for what matches the Peabody. I looked on Expedia and also the Peabody website and could not find a lower rate. I Would like to take advantage of this if the opportunity is still there. Thanks :) Chris
  9. Hotel Review Beautiful hotel, excellent location. Definetly a 4 star hotel. Front desk gave me a free upgrade to a single queen with a large sitting area. Concierge was available and very helpful although there was a significant delay getting my car one time. Parking was $28 canadian a day. Overall everyone was curtious and I had a great time.
  10. Began bidding at $52. Offered an instant rebid to $67. Used free rebids to bid 56, 58 then got it for 60.
  11. In response to the questions that you raised in your reply: The dates in question are for Friday Sept. 30 through Monday Oct. 4 The bids up to $70 were indeed all for resort level hotels. I never got an instant offer back from priceline for any of the bids that I put in. I appreciate all the help. I have some down time right now and am going to try my bid strategy again. Chris
  12. I just began using priceline in the last few weeks and got a really good deal on a rental car in Minnesota so I am trying to use it to plan a vacation with my girlfriend to Orlando at the begining of Oct. Using the advice of this bulletin board I have already begun bidding for my trip. 48hrs ago I began bidding at $50 and went up to $70 using my 8 free rebids in this zone for this rating. I am excited to try again after I get back from another trip this weekend. I think that I may start at $58 and go up to $74 since they kept on asking me if I was sure that I wanted to bid so low when I bid below $58. My question is regarding my dates of stay. I am staying over a weekend but checking in on Friday and leaving on Monday. Are these dates going to cost me more money since they are over a weekend? Would you suggest splitting up the dates and possibly staying at 2 different hotels? Second is there any overlap between priceline and hotwire on the availability of hotels for specific dates? I typed my dates into hotwire and there was only 1 of the 5 priceline resort level hotels offering anything on hotwire for my specific dates. Otherwise I would apreciate any other suggestions that anyone has regarding my trip. I hope to spend some time at a Disney World park and would like suggestions regarding park-hopper passes. I am very excited for the trip and just read the thread on tipping the front desk for upgrades. I am probably going to try it. Has anyone been successful in Orlando doing this? Thanks for all the advice PS - Go Blue (class of 2000) Chris
