Thanks, thereuare. This board is great, I use Priceline a lot, and this is really helpful.
I will be going from Sept 24th(Fri) thru Oct 1st(Fri), 2004.
I am looking at mostly the 4 star places in Downtown/Soho/Tri, MTE, MTW, UES, Central Pk South. I can also stay at some of the 3 star places that I have seen priceline offer, although I would prefer not to stay at the 3 star Crowne Plazas(are they nice?).
I wanted to keep it under $125/night, and can split the time between two areas/hotels. I am willing to go up to $165 a night, and my preference is for the Central Park South area.
I am seeing some prices received for NY Hotels, and they are pretty good. I am planning a trip for late September, and I am bidding up to $125 and not getting anything. Is it typically more in the Fall, or am I bidding too early, or a combination of both?
What might I expect to pay?
Thanks!
Sorry, but I am new at this.
I stayed at the Coronado Marriott Resort, 4 star, May 29 and 30th, for $109 per night.
Rejected up to $95, then my next bid was $109 and accepted. About $253 with tax, etc.
Nice place, close to the Hotel Del(not walking distance), and a nice view of the bay and downtown San Diego. Lots of kids there, though, especially at the pool.

I have been trying all sorts of combos on Priceline for my weeklong trip, from 9/24/04 to 10/1/04. So, finally, I was able to put in 3 nights, from 9/28-10/1 at $102 with MTE, MTW, UES, and UM/CPS checked off at 3 star or higher, and they accepted and upgraded me to the Hyatt.
I like the Hyatt, and it will be nice to stay at. Now, for the other 4 nights.... :)
