  1. I started bidding 4* at $110 in MTW, MTE, and Times Square. Increased by $5/re-bid until winning bid accepted at Hilton New York. This bid was for 2 rooms. I bid low because it is a Sunday night stay and it worked out, can't beat that price during the holiday season in NY. Used the link.
  2. 4* AI Punta Cana - need help ID Was looking at Mexico, but decided to give PC a try and this hotel came up. Dates of travel are 1/28-2/2/10. 4* All inclusive in Punta Cana, DR $159/night. Here are the amenities: Resort Suite Beachfront Oceanfront Casino Food and Beverages Included Premium Beverages Included A La Carte Dining . Evening Entertainment Included Daily Activities Included Children's Activity Program Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services All-Inclusive I think I know the answer to this question, but if I put in 2 adults and 1 child, the hotel doesn't come up. Is it possible to add on a child through the hotel on check in? If not, depending on what the hotel is, I might book it for 2 of our friends who have no children, and then book through an agency for us (1 infant and 1 child).
  3. Travel dates are 1/28 - 2/1/2010. The hotel I am interested in is a 3.5 star all inclusive in the South hotel zone coming up at $174/night for 2 adults and 1 child. Here are the amenities: Resort Beachfront Food and Beverages Included Premium Beverages Included A La Carte Dining Water Sports/Activities Included Evening Entertainment Included Daily Activities Included Complimentary Breakfast Children's Activity Program Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services All-Inclusive Thanks a lot! I don't see this listed anywhere on the BB hotel page, but based on the trip advisor reviews, etc, I'm thinking it could be the Crown Paradise Club?
  4. I placed this bid on 7/23, just took a few days to post it. Anyhow, started at $45 for 4* in both this zone and French Quarter and was declined. Started a new bid, this time using just the 4* Downtown zone plus a rebid (preferred this zone as I will be attending the AOA convention at the convention center). Accepted at $50 at the Renaissance. Seems like a decent hotel, definitely happy with the price.
  5. Started at $60, received counteroffer to increase by $17. Declined and increased by $1 with each subsequent re-bid (only had to make 2 more!). Bid was for 2 rooms. Used the PRICELINE link. Hyatt.com shows $179 for non-refundable rate, and $199 for standard rate.
  6. This bid was placed using $10 bonus cash (from a code in June "Budget Travel" magazine), so was actually $85 + $10 bonus cash. Anyhow, bid up to $100 in the 4* White House and Capitol zones with no success. Lowered to 3.5 stars and starting at $65 worked up to the winning bid (using Capitol and WH zones plus free re-bids). Haven't seen this hotel come up too much on here. The American Academy of Pediatrics convention is going on that week (which I'll be attending) and this is actually one of the 15 or so "official hotels", so there's a shuttle to the convention center, which works out well for us. Lowest average rate I found was $204/night for the entire stay.
  7. I've been bidding 4* in most NYC zones for the past couple weeks up to this point. At $150 (bidding all 4* Manhattan zones except Lower Manhattan), I was offered a free re-bid if I upped offer $25, so I went $155-$160-$162 using re-bids and ended up with this. Not really sure if I'm thrilled with this hotel as the trip advisor reviews leave something to be desired, but still happy with the price. Rates on Starwood website start at $279 (prepaid, no cancellation). Used link PRICELINE from this board.
