I've used PRICELINE many times. wanted to bid last nite but kept getting a timeout. Same today. Do not time out for other sites. Is this a problem others are experiencing??

:) Started on Sunday oct 5th with bid of $45 for 3 star (knowing that currently the only *** is Holiday Inn Select. Bid and got rejected each day raising the bid a couple dollars. On Wed I bid $55 and was accepted for 2 rooms at this hotel for the nite of Oct 18th. Called hotel and requested King no smoking for each room and they accomodated. :)

Yes. That IS what is shown TODAY. But the other nite Someone mentioned it possibly being on HOTWIRE, I went there and sure enough it was $199 on the front page. All icons matched. It's no longer there for my dates. But thanks for that clarification. So the initial price is w/o taxes and fees. So I was wrong then. Yes, and I have and I will continue to do so. I got this from the hotel long before I knew this forum existed.

I'm holding 2 rms. both at $180/nt PLUS TAX of 10.05 pct. First room is for 3 nites starting 6/19 and second rm is for 2 nts starting 6/20. Got this directly from hotel and have called to request both with king beds. If you find better deal,,,let me know. I can cancel up to one day prior. Thanks Beav.

I don't know that this is the case BUT the diff could be taxes. For instance, I am presently holding a room for 6/19 thru 6/22 at a rate of $180 thru the hotel. Thanks to Beav,,I checked out HOTWIRE and found it at $199 but I believe that is WITH the taxes. The following is from my confermation...... "TAX-PER NIGHT 10.05 PCT AND 1.00 USD. NOT INCLUDED IN RATE. TAX DESC-MONTEREY COUNTY ASSESSMENT USD 1"

I also think it may be the Intercontinental Clement. Please let us know if you find out that it is and if you get it for how much. I am currently booked there for a couple wks from now ..holding the rooms. If it's on PRICELINE, I could Probably do better. Please let us know.

tRIED $55 AND WAS REFUSED DAY BEFORE. tAXES AND FEE ARE $15. sO TOTAL IS $74 FOR 1 NITE.
