  1. Just got this deal for 01/06 (one night) at Empire Hotel on W. 63rd St. directly across the street from Lincoln Center. Amenities: 4*, Boutique Hotel, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), High-Speed Internet Access. $120 ($155 with taxes). Unbeatable location if you're going to see a show at Lincoln Center. 4* rating only deserved because of location, otherwise I'd say 3.5*.
  2. rental company was National. I thought I had put that in the subject line, don't know what happened there.
  3. Took this deal with the hope that I'd get upgraded due to a lack of economy cars in Nashville. No such luck. Got a Chevy Aveo which turned out to be fine for my needs. Total with taxes $37.10 for two 24 hour cycles.
  4. Resort Airport Shuttle Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services Children's Activity Program
  5. turns out its the White Oaks Conference Resort. Thanks for the help.
  6. Please help identify: Resort, Airport Shuttle, Smoke Free, Fitness, Pools, Restaurants, Business Center, High Speed Internet, golf. Also a "bed choice" option which I haven't seen before on Hotwire. Recommended in 90% of reviews. Thanks.
  7. Just made this deal through the HOTWIRE link at $97 per night ($112.71 complete). Amenities were as follows: Smoke Free, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurants, Business Center, High Speed Internet, Spa. Saw this on here for a win in early July and it doesn't look like much has changed. Glad to see that the other member spoke highly of the hotel. The spa listing is what gave me confidence that this was the same property. Thanks much.
  8. Your guess was right on the money. Booked, using the HOTWIRE link of course, for the night of 8/23 only for $102 ($126.26 complete). Going on to Toronto, will keep you posted. Thanks, as always. You provide a great service.
  9. 3 * listed as pool and restaurant, Niagara Falls Ontario West, 2 adults, 2 kids. $102 per night. Help!
  10. Sorry, I should have remembered to do that: Casino, Fitness, Pool, Restaurants, Business Center, High Speed Internet, Golf, Tennis, Spa. After posting I did check with Expedia and found that this deal isn't much better than I could have done there. I saved only about $10 on the whole deal. Of course, I didn't know that this was the hotel when I bid. Since the price for the first two nights is actually higher than I could have gotten elsewhere do I have any recourse with hotwire?
  11. Just accepted this offer from hotwire for 3 nights at a "north strip" 4* for $188 a night. Ended up with the Paris. I don't know much about this hotel but it seemed like the best deal I could get for a 4* in this part of the strip. I had really wanted the Venetian and had been bidding on Priceline after seeing some of the wins on the Priceline Map but after taking that up to $189 and not winning I bailed and took the safer route instead. I've always had good luck with Hotwire hotels so I hope this will be good. I think the timing of not checking out until Saturday hurt my chances of getting a better deal, Super Bowl is that Sunday and I guess Vegas will be jammed with people in town to bet the game. I tried doing splits but it didn't really seem worth the hassle, separating out Friday night just made the whole package more expensive. I didn't check with sites like Expedia so I don't know if I could have done better there. Doesn't really matter now, I'm done. Anyone have any recommendations for good restaurants not run by celebrity chefs? If I have to look at another giant picture of Bobby Flay's face I think I'm going to puke. BTW, I'd just like to say that the Priceline maps are amazing, awesome, etc. Greatest idea you've had and you've had some good ones. Keep up the good work. David
  12. wanted to let you know that I ended up booking at the hotel you mentioned above. the price was the same as the hotwire price and there was no question as to the hotel or that pool issue I was concerned about. thanks again. I will make sure to use the savingsbarn link whenever possible.
  13. No, no spa icon. I just checked again. I think this may be either Pinnacle Condos or Sunrise Condos from looking at Expedia and Travelocity"]Travelocity. My problem is that while some condos in the area list a pool when you research it all they have is a lap pool inside their gym. I need a big outdoor pool for my kids. I'm afraid to bid on this and find out that this is the case. I will let you know what we end up doing. Thanks again for your help and I always use the link to savingsbarn.com.
  14. Any idea which hotel this is? 3* condo with the following ammenities: 1BR, Parking, Pool, 24 hour front desk, golf nearby, kitchen, fitness, restaurant, laundry. In Killington, staying 8-14 to 8-18. I've watched rate drop from $84 last night to $79 currently. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
  15. please report back on the condition of the hotel and its ammenities. I stay in Scranton every spring and would love to find an alternative to the Holiday Inn in Dunmore. Thanks.
  16. Have eaten at Lolita twice and sent my wife there on a 3rd occassion with collegues. It is good but all 3 times the appetizers have been better than the mains. I'd order more apps and save room for the dessert. Yes, they do let you bring your own tequila and there's a liquor store around the corner on Chestnut that you can buy it at. They take CASH only. Something to remember. I've heard really good things about Amada. I've also heard its very expensive. Lolita isn't cheap and those pitchers of non alcoholic margaritas go for $12 or $13 each so when you add in the cost of the tequila, we paid $13 at that liquor store for the least expensive name brand tequila they had, you end up with a good sized bar bill. Enjoy.
  17. 8/20-8/25. Sorry, thought I'd provided this info.
  18. Trying to figure out what hotel this might be. 3* for $162 a night, Hotwire lists the following amenities: restaurant, pool, fitness, golf nearby and business center. Checking 3* hotels on Expedia it is hard to narrow it down, there are several contenders though my gut says its a Sheridan. Any idea? Last summer we stayed in Brewster at Ocean Edge and got a great value through Hotwire. We're going back to the Cape in late August and looking to duplicate the experience. Any info appreciated.
  19. As requested, here are the amenities: Resort, Kitchenette, Restaurant, Pool(s), Fitness Center, 24 Hour Front Desk, Children's Activity Program, Golf Nearby. I have started checking in hopes that this hotel will be up on hotwire again this summer. We had a great time and would love to go back again this year but not at the rate the hotel normally charges.
  20. Just wanted to post that we stayed at the Ocean Edge Resort in Brewster from Monday 8-15 through yesterday, Friday 8-19. We payed $192 a night for this 3 Star resort through Hotwire. I seen now that they have what seems like the same hotel, same amenities for about $125. If this is the same hotel this is a steal, we thought it was a great deal for $192 for a 1 bedroom condo with access to both a private beach and several pools plus golf, tennis, restaurants etc. Anyone have any information?
  21. Any idea what hotel this might be? Supposed to be 3.5 stars and there are clues in the feedback. Hotel is in the theater district and sound like a boutique hotel that has a wine hour and is frequented by a younger crowd. I'm hoping to spend less but if this is a great deal I'll go for it. Customer Favorite! Read customer feedback Chicago Loop $220 room per night Customer Feedback Hotwire rating 3.5 Stars (I added the rating, it didn't paste) Hotel's amenities: Restaurant, Fitness Center, Business Center (I added this too, it also wouldn't paste) Customer: Sonya C. from Mount Prospect, Illinois Length of stay: 1 day Would you stay again? Yes Overall value: 4 Room Comfort: 4 Service: 5 Scale: 1-lowest 5-highest This hotel was unique, hip, and fun. We enjoyed the wine hour in the lobby, which kicked off a great night of food and conversation. The hotel was a fabulous vintage hotel redone with a completely mod look. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We also loved the bubble bath! Customer: Mary G. from Denver, co Length of stay: 3 days Would you stay again? Yes Overall value: 5 Room Comfort: 5 Service: 5 Scale: 1-lowest 5-highest Our stay was very enjoyable. The staff was very polite and helpful. The restaurants on site were very good and the location of the hotel was very convenient. We had absolutely no complaints. Customer: Steinke E. from Minneapolis, Minnesota Length of stay: 4 days Would you stay again? Yes Overall value: 4 Room Comfort: 5 Service: 5 Scale: 1-lowest 5-highest The hotel is in a great location - right in the heart of the Theatre District. The hotel is very unique. If you're tired of cut-n-paste "business" hotels, this hotel is the one for you. A lot of hipsters were staying at this hotel, and being a younger adult, I liked that. The hotel had a TON of character and was very fun to look at and explore.
