i booked through booking.com which i thought was affiliated? i honestly found this site easier to use.

good morning... got back from new york yesterday! we stayed at The Hotel at Times Square...the location was GREAT! no complaints...the hotel staff wasn't too friendly, but i can't complain. the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the distance from the hotel to 5th ave - i couldn't ask for more. a friend of mine is going to new york next week and i recommended the hotel to her - which she booked. i was very pleased with service received from megabus. the trip there was actually 12 hrs - the bus was fully booked which made the ride quite uncomfortable - but that had nothing to do with megabus' service. the ride home was GREAT! we took the coach canada bus home - which are affiliated with megabus - the bus had less than10 people on it! so we slept the entire way home! i would definitely take the megabus again and would highly recommend it! just make sure you bring a pillow! it's a long ride!

ok, so i've decided not to be near the bus stop LOL please help me find something in the shopping district =D would you please help me locate the hyatt hotel that you were referring to?

thank you for all of your help. i will take your advice and look for something else...is it possible for you to send me the link for a recommended hotel? i may not be searching correctly...but i can't seem to find the hotel that you're referring to. While we're there, we plan to visit Madison Ave, Fifth Ave...American girl, NBA store...all the major fashion departments.

thank you! you're the best! i plan to see lion king on july 1st @ 3...so i'll definitely try buying at the TKTS first, if not i'll buy them regular price. i'm from toronto so it would be a bit more expensive to shop here...

i can't believe how helpful you guys are! I actually booked the Best Western Convention Center 522 W 38th Street, NY 10018 Manhattan for 2 nights for $298 - which is usually around $560! This is approx. 0.8 km from Penn Station...how does this location sound? i could still cancel...so please advise if this location is suitable for me... i'll definitely let you know how megabus goes. did you hear about the new greyhound neON bus? they're also offering fares for $1 each way!

We're planning to go to Woodbury outlets the first day....how is it there? I heard you can get designer jeans for really good prices! =D

good morning and thanks for all the advice i've received so far. i'm actually taking the megabus from toronto, which drops us off at penn station. i was also considering the Hotel Pennsylvania too...it doesn't have to be directly nearby cause i'm sure it's quite costly in the area...but i don't know what is within walking distance from penn station. since we're only going to be there for 3 days, we'd like to make the most of our time...

Hi, I'm sure you all have heard this question before...but would someone please help me locate a decent hotel near Penn Station? I tried using hotwire but only 1 shows up in that area... I'm staying in New York from May 31-June 2. I'm looking to spend under $200 per night. I'm going with my husband and our 4 year old daughter...we don't plan to rent a car so we'd prefer something within walking distance. We're planning to visit American Girl, NBA store...basically shop all day LOL Are there any suggestions? Seeing as we're taking the bus there and back, we'd like something relatively close to the station...if it is cheaper to be a bit further away, please advise of travel distance...as we don't want to waste too much time travelling... please help =D
