Tried for a couple days with low ball offers on 3.5 and 4*s. Went 75 for 4* and it countered with 88.00. I was hoping and got the Hyatt at the Pike. It saves 13.00 over the 3.5 Hyatt R 21.00 parking charge.

Tried the 4 star at 71.00 and no go. Dropped price and stars and got the Hyatt for 61.00 I always use the BB link! Seems like I get a better deal.

Tried up to 80 for 4* with added 3* Port of LB. Nada. Tried PRICELINE EXPRESS and got the 3.5 Hyatt Regency for 79.00 minus the SUMMER 5% coupon. Always use the BB PRICELINE link!

Just a note about the HYATT AT THE PIKE. Great hotel! Wonderful rooftop pool, parking was only 7.00 and free internet. The Hyatt Regency was 17.00 parking and only free in lobby. In other words, bid higher and get the four star Hyatt Pike (and save $)!

I recall the amenities as pool, restaurant, pet friendly and free wireless. Parking is 11.00. I did call while at the hotel. They wanted to give me a free breakfast as I was checking out to meet friends for breakfast. I'd stayed at Sportsman's Lodge before and suddenly remembered how poorly it was built (noise). They are remodeling and it will be done in Nov 2013. Love your board and always use the links. Due to the holiday weekend, I knew that I wasn't getting any discount. Under the express, it shows "discount" and there was none listed for this hotel. I knew, I was desparate.

A holiday weekend Sat night and I bid up to 100.00 before running out of options. I Express "won" the SPORTSMAN LODGE. It is the worst hotel ever!! No way a 3 star hotel. Noisey, with bugs and under construction. I have complained to Priceline. Holiday hotel that was supposed to have a pool but it was under a month long construction. I wonder what they will do when one of the main amenities is "out of business? I always use the link and always (except this time) get a great deal.

The Hyatt has moved up from 3.5 to four stars. I bid like I'd hope to get Westin but got the Hyatt. It's okay.... Used the PRICELINE link.

I tried for a 3* hotel for 4/21 to 4/22 at 67.00. Turned down. I checked Express and was offered 2 1/2 star at 70.00. I took it. I always use the BB link and did this time. But I bought the Express. I want to support this forum since I have scored so many deals. Does buying PRICELINE EXPRESS help?

It took two days. Tried 57 and then went to 65 and lowered to 3 1/2*. No go. Day before visit, bid 71.00 for four star and got it. I've stayed at the 3 1/2 stay Hyatt a few times and it is great. LOoking forward to trying the Westin. I always use the BB link. Question: I used it for the first day of bidding but then 24 hours later used the "try again" button. Is that okay?

Tried 62.00 for LB 4* but backed up to 58 for 3 1/2 star. Thanks to BB for info. I've stayed here before. Very nice hotel for this price. I always use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links!

Bid 68.00 and PL countered at 78.00 which was the "express" price of a 3* hotel. Reg price was 150+. Holiday Inn was wonderful for 3*s. I used the BB PRICELINE link. It had a shuttle service to the universities. Didn't need a car or parking. Great deal as always!

Started at 57.00 for 4*, went to 62.00 and added Long Beach Airport(3* only). Then lowered stars to 3 1/2 and raised to 63.00 Got the Hyatt Regency Long Beach. What a deal! I always use the links.

Second win at 100 for the Lowes Hollywood. Plus 32.00 in taxes and fees. Great hotel. Parking was also 32.00 I always us the BB PRICELINE link.

This was a wonderful hotel!! More like a 4* than 3.5. Parking was 17.00 First cabin!

Started yesterday at 60 and was offered 79.00. Went to 65 using a free bid. Got the Hilton Long Beach & Executive Meeting Center for 65. Last time got the Maya for 65.00 Hope this one is better? Used the BB PRICELINE link. Thanks for being there!

Not a great hotel. Very tired. Pile driving constuction next door. Make sure you get Building One. But for 65.00, I'll be back.

Long Beach was pretty booked up so a last minute bid of 65.00 got me the 3.5 Hotel Maya. Price seems great. I always use the BB PRICELINE link.

I wanted to be in Hollywood but this was a great hotel in every way!! The parking was expensive, 36.00 plus tips but wonderful valets. Everything first class and no resort fee. Thanks BB. You did it again!
