  12. Ok thanks for the input. I think i am going to go with the bidding route. I am hoping to land something for around $100-$110 a night for 9/17-9/21 Do you think that is doable? Looking for a four star or better hotel and something with an indoor pool if at all possible. Any insight would be most appreciated.
  13. Thanks for the insight. I guessed the Sheraton as well. Any idea or guesses as to what the hotel on PRICELINE EXPRESS deals might be? How do you think the prices listed for these rooms would compare to what I could find for a Four star hotel in same area via bidding process. Thanks again

  17. Anyone have any guesses as to what hotel this may be. Price is $133 on PRICELINE EXPRESS Stay dates are September 17 thru September 21 Guest Rating: 7+ Guaranteed- Business Center, Fitness Center, Indoor/Outdoor Pool. Restaurant Do you think I can do better pricewise by bidding a 4 star property in same area?
  18. Can someone advise as to what the 4 star properties are on PRICELINE for Key West and the 4.5 and 4 star properties are for Key West from HOTWIRE. Also what would be a reasonable bid for this time period? Thanks in advance for your help
  19. Bid $110 this morning and had my bid accepted for The Westin River North Any thoughts? Have any of you stayed here or heard anything about this particular hotel? Total with taxes and fees came to $390.39 for our stay 4/21 thru 4/24 Would love to hear your thoughts Thanks again
  20. If I cannot get an accepted bid at $100 (something I take you feel is likely) I guess I will fall back on my rate of $180 at the Drake via my work. Really do not want to spend that much but what can you do right.
  21. HOTWIRE has 4 Star in Magnificent Mile/Streeterville for $169 3.5 Star in Magnificent Mile/Streeterville for $139 Seems as if the prices are changing daily some days over $200 others I have seen as low as $139 for a 4 star which I referenced in my earlier post That being said what do you suggest? Do you think moving forward bids of $80 or $90 can be succesful if I rebid? If not do you think I can get a 4 star on PRICELINE for $100 max bid? Would I have more luck if I included the Loop? I just feel that Mag Mile based on Aaron's suggestions might be the better fit giventhe night life, proximity to things, etc.
  22. Rejected on PriceLine at both $80 and at $90 for 4/21-4/24 in the North Michagan Ave Area Any suggestions? Am I bidding too soon given that the dates requested are a little over a month away? Let me know thanks
  23. Have not started to bid as of yet as I wanted to see if the prices would soften a little bit. At a bid of $80 do you feel I have a realistic shot at the following? Also which of the 4 stars seem to come in on the low end given past history, etc. I am hoping to land The Drake, Inter-Continental, Omni, W-LakeShore after reading reviews. Would you suggest simply contacting the hotels and informing them that I intend to go the PriceLine route and hope they will just do their "PriceLine" rate over the phone? Let me know your thoughts and I really do appreciate all of your help in assisting this newbie
  24. Can you offer any explanation as to why hotels in the Loop, Mag. Mile, Tower, etc. all seem to be running high for 4/21-4/24? Thanks
