  1. Paid $30 more than the last time I got this place. I really liked Woodcliff so I wanted it even though paid more than previous bid history. Trust me $93 was the lowest acceptable bid. PRICELINE has changed the region for this hotel. It is now under Fairport- no longer East Rochester-Victor. Of course used PRICELINE link.
  2. Stayed there before, small room but very clean and well maintained. Good location- close to Chiropractic College, Outlet Mall, and Wine Country. Nice to know it's now available on priceline.
  3. Trying for this area for awhile... price finally came down. Used recent Cardinal's post (thanks) for $60. Bid went into that 15 min time-out that priceline likes to do, and finally success. Good price considering the time of year- tons of weddings and graduations that month. Used the PRICELINE link.
  4. First try $65 no go. Second attempt hit at $70. Used PRICELINE link. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $70.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $70.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $22.87 (USD) Total Room Cost: $92.87 (USD)
  5. Did this one a couple of weeks ago... Added my hotel to the board and then forgot about the rental car. I was working on this one for awhile. $17 was the absolute lowest system would take. Price listed through Hertz website is like $82 per day for this car class so pretty good deal.
  6. used the PRICELINE link, got this place to take the kids to sesame place. tried $38 first but no go, hit with $40
  7. Got The Dearborn Inn, A Marriott Hotel for $55 per night. Actually used PRICELINE Bonus Cash so even cheaper.
  8. Used $50 PRICELINE bonus cash so actual bid was $107. Taxes for 2 rooms, 7 nights was less than $200... very cheap.
  9. Maybe a little risky... but there is a little quirk in bidding for Aruba properties which basically allows free bids. For Aruba priceline bidding, you can choose the location as "Aruba, Aruba or Oranjestad, Aruba" or "Palm Beach, Aruba" Now the selection of Aruba, Aruba is going to have a greater choice of properties from 4* down to Resorts but "Palm Beach, Aruba" has only 4* to 2.5* with no resorts available. 4* Palm Beach bids have required higher bids to trigger wins ~$125-140 range. My theory is that is more likely to get the Marriott than Aruba, Aruba bidding which has been around the $110 range and getting the Westin. Just a theory from experience and would love feedback. In summary, try Palm Beach, Aruba bidding to avoid the Westin and Reniassance Hotels but would run higher in cost. Use Aruba, Aruba for the lowest possible cost and making all Hotels available.
  10. was helping out family member, bidding for days starting at $20 probably could get it cheaper if waited last minute but happy at $25
  11. First attempt $55 won. Edit: Courtyard By Marriott Tarrytown incorrect spellling in title.
  12. If you want to avoid the Renaissance, may want to try buying through HOTWIRE but in your search add a child. Apparently that knocks out the Renaissance and offers up what I believe is the Westin. Hope that helps.
  13. first attempt of $50 denied.. waited 2 days hit with $55. Used the PRICELINE link.
  14. Would love some help to ID this Hotel. Hotel rate is listed as $375 retail but HOTWIRE is offering for $159 Resort Amenities include: Beachfront A La Carte Dining Daily Activities Included Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Golf Nearby Food and Beverages Included Evening Entertainment Included Complimentary Breakfast Pool(s) Business Center Spa Services Was thinking this may be one of the Iberostar chain resorts. Thanks for any help.
  15. Thanks so much for the ID. I think I'm going to pass on this one though. The reviews of this resort were not encouraging. You might have saved me from a horrible vacation.
  16. 3 Star all-inclusive resort in Puerto Plata listed on Hotwire for $109 for two. My suspicion is the Riu Mambo based on the listed price on Expedia as $149.60 and the retail price on Hotwire also listed as 149.60. Can anyone confirm? Listed amenities include: Resort Food and Beverages Included Water Sports/Activities Included Daily Activities Included Children's Activity Program Restaurant(s) Laundry Facilities Golf Nearby Beachfront A La Carte Dining Evening Entertainment Included Complimentary Breakfast Pool(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Tennis Nearby Appreciate the help. Thanks.
