  1. Thanks for all the help provided on this board, I was able to score what looks to be a very nice hotel in a great location for about half the lowest price I can find anywhere on the web for the same hotel. I followed the bidding advice from "thereurare" shown below: Selected 3* MTE and MTW... Bid $110, rejected, added UES zone... Bid $115, rejected, added UWS zone... Bid $120, rejected, closed browser and re-accessed priceline through the BetterBidding link Selected 3* CPS and Times Square and MSG... Bid $110, rejected, added UES zone... Bid $115, rejected, added UWS zone... Bid $120, rejected, closed browser and re-accessed priceline through the BetterBidding link Selected 3* MTE and CPS... Bid $125, rejected, added UES zone... Bid $130, rejected, added UWS zone... Bid $135, rejected, closed browser and re-accessed priceline through the BetterBidding link Selected 3* MTW and Times Square and MSG... 2. Thanks so much for your help. One more question, when would you begin bidding? Should I start now for a July booking or wait? I'm sure this is a tough question...
  3. That sounds good, I know nothing about NY. From the Priceline zones, MTS looked pretty central to most of Manhattan, so I thought that would be the place to go with. I'm very willing to accept your advice since I know zilch about NY... Thanks...
  4. We would prefer Midtown South, Times Square, Midtown East or West, Downtown/SoHo. Are there advantages to any of these zones over the others?
  5. We would like a 3* if possible for $150/night maximum. Is that possible during the summer months?
  6. 7/15-7/19 We are flying into JFK for a cruise leaving from the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal on July 19th and plan on arriving on the 15th to spend a few days prior to the cruise. We will likely spend most if not all of our time in the Manhattan area. What is our best bet to keep commuting time/costs to a minimum and keeping our hotel stay relatively affordable. The other thing which may prove to be a problem for us is the MLB All-Star game is on July 15th in Yankee Stadium, do you think that will greatly increase hotels prices for that week? Also, when would you suggest we begin the bidding process? Thanks in advance for your help...
