  1. We booked the 4* center strip for $156/night on Hotwire. You guys were right...it was the Paris and we are pleased with the result! Here were the amenities they listed: casino fitness pool restaurant business center high-speed internet golf nearby tennis nearby spa services Thanks for all your help!
  2. Oh and it also lists it as a customer favorite...still probably the Paris?
  3. Sorry...here are all the amenities listed for that 4* hotel: casino fitness pool restaurant business center high-speed internet golf nearby tennis nearby spa services
  4. These were the amenities listed for a 4* hotel (central strip) on HOTWIRE for $155/night: casino fitness pool restaurant business center high-speed internet golf nearby tennis nearby Any ideas would be much appreciated...
  5. Ok...I would like to start bidding on a 5* for 1 room. As long as we are on the strip, we don't care if it's north or south and like I said before, we would prefer not to be in the Trump. Is the Bellagio one of the hotels Priceline deals with? Also, my question before...why do people start adding other areas while increasing the price by small amounts? Thanks...
  6. I think we would prefer a 5*....but we might settle on a 4*...
  7. My friends and I are going to Las Vegas from Nov 8 to Nov 12 and we are considering using PRICELINE to get our hotel. We would like a 5 star on the strip but we don't really want to stay at the Trump and it seems like the trend is going that way. We tried Hotwire and by process of elimination we got a 5 star that was definately the Trump, and a four star that was probably Planet Hollywood. I looked at this post and we would love to stay in the Venetian or Caesar's or Bellagio or Wynn...anyways, what I'm confused about is the technique to add other areas and slowly increase the price...can someone please explain this to me? (I've seen other posts where people have done this) I would love some tips on bidding for a hotel...I know we're not guaranteed a hotel and I also know that getting the trump is a distinct possibility but are there techniques you can use to decrease this possibility? Thanks!
  8. I ended up just booking a hotel on my own because I found a special rate at that time for Park Central Hotel. Thanks for the advice anyways!

  10. I'm not sure..but I definately want to book for more than double occupancy and some hotels in NY don't even have rooms with 2 double beds. Just to clarify, there is no way to specify more than double occupancy with Priceline? Does this mean Priceline is not an option for me?
  11. Hi. So if we want double beds we aren't guaranteed double beds? Right now, we are 2 people who really want double beds. But we also want the option to have double beds in case one other friend joins us. Does this affect the bid?
  12. Hi, I guess I must have forgotten to give you all the details. Thanks for sending me the link to the description of the NY zones. I think we would prefer either Midtown West or Midtown East (i think preferably midtown west but based on your advice, it probably doesn't matter). Dates are for February 8th to February 12th (4 nights). Price maximum would be $200/night for standard room with 2 double beds with minimum star rating of 3. Thanks so much for your help. -Christine
  13. Hi...I'm new to this. I'm looking for a hotel for a good rate close to Times Square (i think that's considered Midtown West??). So Basically, I would love some suggestions for hotels to bid on and what price to bid for hotels close to Times Square (the closer the better). Thank you and I would really appreciate your help. -Christine
