  1. If I bid 4 star north and it comes back and says if you're willing to bid $110 we have a hotel for you does that mean 1) they have a 4 star for me or 2) they have a 4 'or' 5 star? Anything 4 and up? Monte Carlo has amazing promos now. I think you should just book it straight.
  2. If you select 4 star North Strip, which should be Treasure Island, does the system automatically 'include' 5 star hotels or only 4 star? Just curious. Thank you! I also want to avoid the Trump.
  3. May I ask what time you bid and what day? I have a friend who's also trying to get a room and has had no luck. We were lucky but my friend so far has been unlucky. Maybe if we try the same time of day as you it might make a difference. (morning or afternoon, Monday - Sunday)?
  4. I want to apologize for the administrators of this board but I am unable for some technical reason to respond to pm messages. However, I would like to clarify that I had tried bidding that day and went as high as $146 I believe. I gave up and called my friend to try and she won on her first attempt. I would have otherwised used the links provided here to follow through. Thanks again to the good people here. The hotel got tremendous reviews on tripadvisor. I'm very impressed!!!!!! Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $148.00 Subtotal: $444.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $82.83 Total Charges*: $526.83
  5. May 16-19. Not thrilled but beggers can't be choosers. Money saved on hotel is money spent dining out! And thankyou to the kind and paitent people on this board for their help and advice! So have any of you ever stayed at the Tudor? :)
  6. Which zone do you recommend I start my bidding on? Yes, I know i'm asking for the stars but what do I have to lose by trying.
  7. Thanks. I've been to LV ten times already so after $200 I think i'm done. I won't be trying again. New York is a good getaway also. I'll try there.
  8. http://susysbeachgetaway.com/default.aspx Hello friends. I ended up staying here. (see above link please) The people were amazing and the place was in the center of all the action. I truly loved it. Please let them know if you book that Jeanette told you about it. Cheers.
  9. I'm sorry. I don't mean to make your job difficult. I am inquiring about Vegas though. Sorry.
  10. I want a 4 or 5 star north of the strip May 16-20. Should I try enterring 16-18 and then bid 19-20? Does length of stay impact your chances of winning? Worst case scenario we change hotels.
  11. I went up to $198 for the same weekened. Rejected.
  12. I've been trying to get something North of the strip 4 or 5 star for the May 16-20 weekend. No luck. I went as high as $191 today and was rejected. Any advice people aka travel gurus? Am I perhaps bidding too early? MANY THANKS!!!!!!!!
  13. I found this. May I please have your advice. Thanks! http://susysbeachgetaway.com/testimonials.aspx http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews...ch_Florida.html Even found a good review on tripadvisor. What are your thoughts? I still have lots of time but I hate leaving things to the last minute. Your advice is appreciated if you have experience with timeshare etc.
  14. Do you think it's possibly i'm using priceline too early. Is there such a thing as bidding too early? Thoughts?
  15. I'm glad I didn't commit. Guess what. The rooms only have one bed. Therefore if there are 3 in your party they are stuck on a cot. Back to priceline. I promise to post my results if I win and use the link you provided.

  17. I went as high as 95 dollars. Have any of you tried skyauction.com? Thoughts?
  18. I remember in August when I used priceline for my trip to LA it sent me a warning that I had to wait 3 days to bid again. I'm not getting the same warning this time. Is it because they have different rules for bidding on cars versus hotels. I am looking to spend 100 dollars a night.
  19. How high do you think I should bid? Keep in mind i'm going Feb. 13-18. High season (gasp)
