  1. I see 3.5* NYC Midtown Central for $109 from 1/6/2012-1/8/2012. The amenities are: 3.5-star Hotel in Midtown Central Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Any idea what that one might be?
  2. I think I'll go 4* in Midtown East and Central Park, unless I start to hear that people have gotten the Marriot Eastside, that's a 3.5, but really a 4 in my opinion, I stayed there 3 weeks ago and it was awesome.
  3. Not sure on price, this weekend is very inexpensive in NYC coming after the holiday, so I think I may be successful in the $120's.
  4. i'm looking for a 3.5* in Midtown East but want to avoid the Roosevelt Hotel because of all the bad reviews and potential construction. Ideally I'd like to stay at Marriot Eastside. Any tips for avoiding a hotel with Priceline? I'm looking for 1/6-1/8/2012 and have sort of been watching what other people are successful with, but it's slow going. Thanks, Jim
  5. Thanks Verga, I followed your bid with $135 for 11/4-11/6 and was successful, great location and very good deal compared with the high nyc hotel prices.
  6. Amenities: Suite, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-speed Internet Access
  7. Just got back from 2 nights at Doubletree Times Square, located hotel on better bidding and went to HOTWIRE from betterbidding, 2/4-2/6 $130 + tax per night Suite with 2 double beds in bedroom and pull out couch in living room. 2 doors to bathroom. Frig, microwave. I want to thank betterbidding for helping me identify so many hotels. This certainly is the best value in NYC, and although I booked on hotwire for 2 people I brought a 3rd person and had no difficulty or extra charge at the hotel. I used to live in NYC and New Yorkers tend to look down on Times Square, but I must say it is a great location for Theatre, Lincoln Center, Central Park and midtown. I also recommend parking at MTP on 49th and 11th as they charge $20 per night whereas the hotel charges $45. About a 10 minute walk. Thanks again betterbidding! Jim
  8. Looking at a 4* on hotwire for 4 adults at $129 with amenities: Fitness Center,Pool,Restaurant,Business Center,High-speed Internet Access for 8/31 to 9/3. Any ideas which hotel this might be? I want to avoid the Sheraton Centre as I didn't like it that much the last time I used hotwire. I'd rather pay more on something like Expedia then go back to that place, just a tired hotel. We'll be going up for the International Film Festival for labor day. I wonder how risky it is to just get a room for 2 people and then ask for 2 queen's. Has anyone had an experience where they can only give you a king? Thanks and great site, it's helped me identify many hotels in my travels.
