Have you been getting Holiday Inn Express thru Priceline or HOTWIRE ? I love HIE too and find it the best value , if it can be had thru PL or Hotwire . Quite often what I've seen is prices listed for HIE in all travel sites is around standard $120.00 these days, when even 3* or 4* are often listing lower than that.

Tried bidding from 55.00 to 70.00 on 2.5* to 4* Montreal Downtown with no luck. Received a counter offer at 64.00 on 4* to increase bid by $17 to bid again. Finally got Hyatt at $73.00. Glad that I got Hyatt instead of 4* Sheraton
