  1. I found a 4* offering for Fort Lauderdale Beach Area. It is shown as a "Best Value." The amenities are : Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Spa, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Business Center. I am looking for the dates 9/2 - 9/4 and the rate shows as $97 per night. Could anyone tell me if this is the Hyatt Pier 66? Would this be a good rate? Thank You.
  2. Hotwire came through with a confirmation email for a double the difference refund today. Total cost for the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point for three days, 7/31 to 8/3, $194.95 or $64.98 per night (including all resort fees and taxes). Original price paid on Hotwire was $238, it has even gone up since then. Price for Summer promo rate at hyatt.com is $139.00
  3. Thank you for the instructions. I tried the resort category on priceline first and bid up to $80 using 5 rebids. All rejected. My husband was a little nervous about the gamble on the Hotwire. After reaching a point where I figured the Coconut Point was a nicer resort, and less expensive than some of the lesser rated Priceline resort hotels, I decided to go for it! I got he 4* Hyatt Regency Coconut Point for $238 per night for three nights which totalled $714.00 plus $74.95 in taxes and fees for a total of $788.95. I submitted the "double the difference guarantee" form. Now I'm holding my breath to hear about the credit. I know it will all be worth it. It is a little scary though considering the total for three nights. Thanks again for your assistance.
  4. Hi, I am interested in staying at the Coconut Point 7-30 to 8-2. Could someone explain how to go about receiving the double the difference discount through Hotwire. How does it work? Do you book the room first? Thanks.
  5. Check-in date: May 28, 2004 Check-out Date: May 29,2004 Hotel name: Deauville Resort Miami 3* 6701 Collins Avenue Miami Beach, Florida 33141 Offer Price: $55.00 Taxes & service: 13.81 Total: $68.81 (Resort fee $7 per night, valet parking $18 in addition) I hope this helps other Memorial Day vacation travelers. :)
  6. The resort fees are $7 per night and valet parking is $18 per day. I'm not sure if there is self parking, probably not. The website is deauvillebeachresort.com.
  7. :) Thanks for your input. I added South Beach zone for $50, no luck. Finally I added Miami Beach for $55 and the bid was accepted. It is the Deauville Resort Miami , offer price $55 + $13.81 tax and fees for a total of $68.81. It may not be right near the cruise port, but it will be wonderful to be on the beach.
  8. :) Please help. I bid for a hotel stay for a 3 * in downtown Miami on 5/28/04. First I bid $37, rejected. Next added North Miami for free rebid and increased to $39, rejected. Then added SW Miami and increased to $40, rejected. Finally added Key Biscayne for another rebid and went to $45, rejected again. Any ideas or strategies? I based these bids on recent successful bids on this board for the same time frame. Thanks for your help.
