Thanks so much for your help. Ended up messing around on PRICELINE and just so happened to click on the 5* in the Marina area at 188/night to see what total price would be. Price dropped upon loading page to $156/night. With help from this site I knew this was The Modern Honolulu. Jumped on that price and used the 5% coupon as well! Thanks again!

Searching Hotwire for the 11/16-11/23 and there are two different 4* Hotel listings. One is listed for $158/night with the following amenities FULL AMENITIES: Near beach, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Spa services, Children's activities, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower. The other is listed for $176/night with following amenities: FULL AMENITIES: Resort, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible bathroom Any help in figuring out which is which is much appreciated!

Thanks for all the help in understanding how to use priceline. I think I got a pretty good deal considering my trip includes a Friday and Saturday night.. I know it's a slower time of year, but had I booked through the Palazzo as I originally intended I would have spent $150+ more. :)

I am looking at the options on Hotwire and can't decide which hotel to stay at. There is a 4* Hotel Near Strip East at $109/night. Or a 4* Hotel Near Strip West for $99/night. There's what I believe to be the Golden Nugget at $59/night, but I've never stayed downtown, and unless somebody has the experience there to convince me otherwise I'd rather stay near the strip. The other option I may consider is a 3.5* at $86/night. I think that may be Planet Hollywood (?). If somebody could help to identify the two off-strip hotels that would be extremely helpful. I am guessing the East might be the Renaissance and the West may be the Rio (?). Never stayed in either and not all of the info matches up (trip advisor review, star ratings, etc.) so I am not sure I've identified them correctly. Thanks, Cory
