  1. Sorry for the late reply. I DID go to the bagel shop. The line was out the door, and it ended up being a 45 minute wait. But the bagels were excellent! Gary
  2. Started at $100 with MTW and Theater for 3 star. Added MTE, did $120, and I won. First time I have ever won a Priceline bid for NYC. I did use the PRICELINE link from the website to make the purchase.
  3. Started at $60 and using 10 re-bid zones, bumping up $5 each time, $80 eventually got me the deal. I used your PRICELINE link. Room Subtotal: US$160.00 Taxes & Fees: US$30.64 2 nights Its been awhile since I used this site - haven't been traveling as much. Lots of improvements here. Glad to see it's still going strong. Thanks. Gary
  4. Great stay! The hotel seemed new. Friendly staff. Very clean.
  5. I started bidding for both Williamsburg areas at $40 and 2.5*. I moved up to $45, added 2* and landed a 3*. I did use the PRICELINE link on this website. Holiday Inn Hotel And Suites Williamsburg - Historic Gateway 3 Star Williamsburg Center - Outlets 515 Bypass Road Williamsburg, Virginia 23185 Check-In Date: Mon, Jul 6, 2009 Check-Out Date: Wed, Jul 8, 2009
  6. Thanks for your assistance. We decided not to go to Disney World at this time. We might try it in the winter.
  7. Disney Area and possibly Universal Studios. I'd be willing to pay more for a higher rated hotel. My limit is going to be around $100/night.
  8. April 4-11. Not really sure how to handle it actually. I've never booked a flight in conjunction with a priceline hotel stay. I will probably check prices of flights, and then go for hotel dates where flights are reasonable. I don't know if I'll try to use priceline for the air fare.
  9. The lowest rate would be the biggest determining factor for the flexibility. Ideally, the hotel will coincide with the flights I can attain also. If we could find low enough rates, we might stay longer. Thanks.
  10. I ended up not using Priceline for 2 reasons: 1) My bid price on priceline was approaching the regular room rate at the Best Western. 2) Due to its location, we decided we wanted to stay at the Best Western and paid about $67/night. This is an excellent location right near the entrance to the wild life park. The park was an easy bike ride away. The hotel was very clean, and appeared to have been recently remodeled.
  11. I eventually gave up on this. The hotels were way more than I was willing to pay at the time. I could not find anything under $200, plus I was worried about being put in a room that would only allow 2 people. We went elsewhere for Spring vacation.
  12. Planning a trip to Disney World in the April 4-12 timeframe. The dates are not set. They can vary. So can the length of the stay. I would prefer 5-7 days. I'd probably want at least 3*. Any bidding help would be appreciated.
  13. Nice rebid zones here in Northern VA for 3*. This is a little further away from my intended area, but this is a $200+/night hotel. Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles 14750 Conference Center Drive Chantilly, Virginia 20151 Your Offer Price: $65.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 3 Subtotal: $195.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $30.26 Total Charges*: $225.26 Totally forgot to use the PRICELINE link on the website. Was in a hurry. A thousand apologies.
  14. Any idea of the priceline hotels in Chincoteague, VA? How about a bidding strategy? I would want 2* and I'd like to be under $50.
  15. Well, this is why I asked the question. I have 2 children. They both have no problem sleeping on the floor. Are the hotel employees going to watch me like hawks to make sure I don't sneak my kids into the room? My experience at hotels all across the country is that no one is watching that closely. Is it different in New York City?
  16. Still have not given up on my dates yet... I'm planning to take a family of 4. I've read that some places have rooms with only one bed. Are some of these hotels likely to give me grief if I try to put 4 people in one of these rooms? My kids can sleep on the floor. That's not a problem.
  17. You must have the magic touch. After seeing your low bid today for 4*, I have bid a 3* up to $150 for MTW and a 3* up to $145 for Times Square for 3/17-3/20 with no luck. Can the one extra day make that much of a difference?
  18. I have having similar issues with the same date range: Priceline NYC
  19. I am all the way to $170 for 3*. No luck. I may have to consider an alternate location for this vacation. I have tried the dates 3/18 - 3/21 to $170 and the dates 3/17 - 3/20 to $125. I can get much cheaper train fare to NYC if I leave Tuesday vs. Monday.
  20. Gotcha. UWS and UES are the rebid zones for NYC for 3*. I will get back on track tomorrow. Thanks.
  21. Select 3* MTE and MTW and MTS... Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone... (here I added Times Square) Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone... (here I added UM/CPS) Bid $110, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.
  22. Select 3* MTE and MTW and MTS... Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $110, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously. Select 3* Times Square and UM/CPS... here->Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $110, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously. At the point marked "here" above, I was flagged for a duplicate request. Was I supposed to wait 24 hours or did I do something wrong?
