  1. Well this might be interesting. I really needed to stay South like Lansing or Merrillville and tried everything for a 2.5* and above up to $45.00.

At that point I decided I could drive a little farther and started by adding a 2 star and worked my way farther out. Finally got this one after adding 5 zones and raising to bid to $28.00. I feel foolish staying in a Baymont for the same price as a Hyatt like the one in Lisle which always goes out at $28.00! :)

  2. Well I am not used to paying this much but my wife is coming along and I wanted to set her up nice while I work.

This was a real struggle right from the start. Started out at $40.00 and went through all the rebids. After about 12 tries including dropping to a 2.5*, I had to go to our other computer and have my wife rebid.

You can do this as long as it is another computer and a different credit card.

$70.00 isn't all that bad considering that their best rate was $175.00 :)

  3. As many who stay around Chicago know, we are able to stay at the Hyatt Lisle for $28.00 per night. This morning under my door I got a bill for $27.60 + tax per night. After calling the front desk asking why I am being charged, they were very anamate about, "just throw that bill away, it was a mistake".

    Here is the breakdown.

Priceline was charged $27.60 per night and $3.04 per night tax. The 3 night stay cost them $91.92.

I paid $28.00 per night. Taes and fees were $16.88, for a total charge of $100.88.

This means Priceline made $8.96 on my stay. I am sure the rest of you will find a way to figure out something more from this info. I am all ears.

By the way, Priceline uses a credit card to pay for rooms at this Hotel. It was billed to one. :)
