  1. There are indeed some very nice 3* properties in Manhattan. There are also some serious dogs. It is extremely difficult to predict what you'll get at any time, but the risk is very, very high when you're bidding on a 3* several months in advance of your stay.
  2. That was my guess also. Thanks - will keep looking for now. Prices are outrageous due to the marathon, I guess. I saw a 4* MTE for $285/night from 10/31 to 11/5 about a week ago - I should have booked it the instant I saw it. You snooze you lose!
  3. Done. Should have done that about a year ago.
  4. I landed up bidding through the BetterBidding PRICELINE link on the Holiday Inn Express Chelsea/MSG, which I got for about $120/night, as I recall. Nice hotel. Highly recommended.
  5. A 3* hotel in MTS keeps showing up for stays in October and November. Price is low $300s. It's a "Customer Favorite" with Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, and Hi-speed Internet Access. There are 120+ Tripadvisor reviews with an average rating of 4.5/5. Any ideas as to what this is?
  6. Looking at a 3.5* hotel for $204/night in MTC, June 24-28. Amenities are shown as Fitness Center, Internet and Restaurant - same as Club Quarters Midtown. However, it ISN'T Club Quarters Midtown, as the hotel has a 4.0 rating on Tripadvisor with over 140 reviews. Any ideas?
