Great . . . Thanks! :)
Had to book another room for my friend and was able to save $4. Lowest price at Intercontinetal.com is $273.
Used the BB PRICELINE link.
I believe they do, and from what I have heard it's 11% of your priceline rate.
Late January is prime time and there will be 5 ships in port this weekend. Wanted to make sure I got a decent deal at a nice resort. Needed two nights pre-cruise.
Lowest price on Intercontinental's website is $273. So overall I think I did well! Very happy with my win! :)
Again, 2 beds are not guaranteed, although some people luck out.
Yes, that is correct . . . . it's based on availability at check-in! :)
Just call the hotel and ask for two double beds. I won the Wynn this past February, and we just called reservations and requested two double beds. No problems at all!
You listed the date as '08 - is it '09 or was it '08?
Sorry it's for 2009. Can that be edited?
Lowest price on hyatt.com is $85.
Very happy with this win! :)
If there is a resort fee, it should be stated on the hotel website.
No resort fee. I'll be staying here in July (won it for $119 a night) and called and inquired about the same thing. What a great deal! :)
Is that $14, a fee per day or over your entire stay?
It's a $15 resort fee, and that's per day.
I believe this is the Trump Hotel. If there is no casino icon then I'm pretty sure that's what it is.
Looks like this is turning into a family reunion for me. I just booked more rooms for two other family members. Such a great deal, no one wanted to pass it up. :)

Used the BB PRICELINE link. Thanks!
Very happy with this win. I knew I was not going to get the Wynn via bidding since HOTWIRE had the Trump (5* center condo) available for $79 a night. Just got back from the Wynn ($100 a night) and I absolutely loved it. However, this time we're bringing the kids (3 rooms) so we wanted to save some money yet not sacrafice quality. None of us gamble, so not having a casino isn't an issue.
1st bid $64 5* (strip north) counter-offered $81 and obviously I was going to reject it.
added Convention $65
added Freemont $66
added Henderson $67 and that won it.
Used the BB PRICELINE link. Very good price for a holiday weekend. Thanks :)
PS. I'm fully aware of the $15 per day resort fee.
Just FYI, the Sheraton Gateway LAX is a 4*, not 3.5*.
Summary of charges
Car daily rate: - Hotwire hot Rate $41.95
Rental days: 6
Subtotal: $251.70
Tax recovery charges and fees: $94.63
Total price: $346.33

Congratulations, you saved 30% on your Minivan rental. Hotwire hot Rate of just $41.95. Other travel sites: $60.35
I used the BB HOTWIRE link posted on this site. Booked this for my sister and she's happy with this deal. :)
Might want to be careful for other people bidding to get the Sheraton... renovations are taking place.
Yep, I'm fully aware of this. The only way to avoid getting the Sheraton is not to bid the Waikiki beach zone. As with priceline bidding, there is no way to avoid getting a particular hotel. If it's in that zone and star category then it's all up for grabs. Still a good deal for this beachfront centrally located hotel, not to add all guest room renovations have been completed and so is the super pool. Suites are still ongoing, however, most priceline guests are in the city view rooms, not the suites. I don't think the minor construction will be bothersome at all. When I arrive in July, construction should be at a minimum.
Very happy with my win! :)
Happy with this win. :)
Hotel before my Hawaii flight :) .
