  1. Very happy with this win. I knew I was not going to get the Wynn via bidding since HOTWIRE had the Trump (5* center condo) available for $79 a night. Just got back from the Wynn ($100 a night) and I absolutely loved it. However, this time we're bringing the kids (3 rooms) so we wanted to save some money yet not sacrafice quality. None of us gamble, so not having a casino isn't an issue.

1st bid $64 5* (strip north) counter-offered $81 and obviously I was going to reject it.

    added Convention $65

    added Freemont $66

added Henderson $67 and that won it.

Used the BB PRICELINE link. Very good price for a holiday weekend. Thanks :)

PS. I'm fully aware of the $15 per day resort fee.

Congratulations, you saved 30% on your Minivan rental. Hotwire hot Rate of just $41.95. Other travel sites: $60.35

I used the BB HOTWIRE link posted on this site. Booked this for my sister and she's happy with this deal. :)

  3. Might want to be careful for other people bidding to get the Sheraton... renovations are taking place.

Yep, I'm fully aware of this. The only way to avoid getting the Sheraton is not to bid the Waikiki beach zone. As with priceline bidding, there is no way to avoid getting a particular hotel. If it's in that zone and star category then it's all up for grabs. Still a good deal for this beachfront centrally located hotel, not to add all guest room renovations have been completed and so is the super pool. Suites are still ongoing, however, most priceline guests are in the city view rooms, not the suites. I don't think the minor construction will be bothersome at all. When I arrive in July, construction should be at a minimum.

Very happy with my win! :)

  4. Lowest price on Delta.com was $427.14. First bid of $199 accepted. Came to $243.71 with taxes and fees. Bought 2 tickets. Now I will start bidding for my hotel. :)
