  1. i ended up booking PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for $227 per night and got Hotel Mela using the promo code 5% for $549 for 2 nights. Not bad. Would rather have stayed elsewhere but we will check out this hotel. Seems like it gets decent reviews
  2. Really just want to stay in the $500 range for 2 nights so i am guessing that would get me a 4 Pets. Business center. Gym/spa. Restaurant
  3. Making a trip to NYC for a Yankees ball game(fathers day present) and staying Friday August 8 and Saturday August 9th. We only want to stay in Times Square for those two nights, as we both have never stayed there before. I would say our budget would be $500 for 2 nights but preferably lower. Would prefer to stay in a 4star or above. Any help on a bidding strategy would be appreciated. There is a 4 star express deal for times square-theatre district for $205 per night and i guess i could use the SUMMER14 coupon. Is that possibly the Westin? thanks in advance
  4. Just used the link from this site to book through PRICELINE. Got the Hyatt Regency Downtown Atlanta for $65/night. Grand total=$157.22 Seems like a good deal for the weekend
  5. Needed a couple nights up in Northern VA for my new job and I booked this hotel for $44 per night. Rate on hotel website is $97 per night. Total $204
  6. L Enfant Plaza Hotel $106 for the 1 night. Amenities: Pool. Fitness, Restaurant, Business. Wife and MIL going to see American Idol in DC. Nice location for Metro I love this website
  7. Got back from our trip on Sunday night. We missed the first night of our trip because US Airways decided to cancel our flight to NYC due to weather. So we couldnt get to NYC till Friday A.M. Was able to get Hotwire dollars for our missed night which was good instead of losing it all. Hotel was in a perfect location to everything. Right next to Waldorf Astoria. We went on the City Sights tours and a stop was right outside of our hotel backdoor besides the Waldorf which was convenient. Room was spacious for two of us and really nice especially for the price.
  8. My aunt was going to San Francisco as part of her 20th anniversary trip so she wanted some help with finding a hotel so I looked up some places on this site. She really wanted to stay at the St. Francis and they quoted her a rate of $185 with parking included. So I told her its not 100% with priceline we would get it but that the chances were high. So we bid on it and got it for $69 for 2 nights. Parking is still $50/night which is ridiculous but it is still a better rate than what the hotel quoted. Would have used the link on this site had I done the bidding myself.
  9. Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Tennis Nearby
  10. Used the HOTWIRE link and booked 3 nights at this hotel for $139 a night, $455 total. Regular rate was over 300 a night. Wife got tickets for the Mets/Yankees game on that saturday. Got a decent deal on flights from Richmond VA, and this hotel deal makes it even more awesome. Didnt imagine I could get a better deal so I booked it.
  11. Used Better Bidding PRICELINE link and booked Homestead BWI Airport Hotel 10/2/08. Flying to Las Vegas for my bachelor party 10/3/08 and we leave at 7am, so I thought I would see what deal I could get. It wasn't on the list of Priceline hotels, but it works. Total with tax was $47. Not bad.
  12. Finally won a hotel for $185 a night at the Washington Jefferson Hotel. Had to go down to 2 stars and up the amount per night but that was ok. I didnt realize NYC was such a ripoff for hotels per night. About as bad as Vegas on friday/saturday nights. Used the PRICELINE link from this site.
  13. I have a question. When it says use our link to re-access PRICELINE and I try to re-bid it still remembers that I tried to make the same bids, and tells me I have to change something. Also when I use your strategy, initially do I check all those zones and bid, or check 3 star and CPS zone, bid 105, and hit send. and then it comes back rejected, check downtown zone, bid 110 and hit send? I am a little confused. I havent had any luck getting any bids, and I bid up to 160. Maybe I need to bid more than that, or just wait and try another day
  14. Ok I guess go with 3 star and above. It is for my fiancee and she is rather picky about her hotels. I told her I would try and get some advice so a bidding strategy would help. Thanks in advance I ended up not evening bidding for that new years thread, so if it could be deleted, great.
  15. Need some help with bidding advice to stay in NYC August 16-August 19. If someone could help me with a bidding strategy I would appreciate it. Would like to stay at a 2.5star or higher. And the location just has to be in NYC, Midtown, downtown, is fine. Is $150 too little to pay to stay in NYC on the weekend? Thanks in advance
  16. Was meaning to write after I got back. Was a really nice hotel. Really convenient to the Rogers centre to see the Jays play the Yankees. Was pretty cool that even if you didn't have a ticket you could still watch the game from the bar in the hotel for free. The hotel wasnt convenient though to many of the places we went out to eat, though the CN Tower was right next door. Had to taxi it around some places, though you could take the subway. For the price I paid it was awesome though. Parking was a pain since the baseball game was going on, but we had them valet us for the same price for regular parking because of this.
  17. Hotel was good enough for staying overnight, leaving for airport in the morning. Convenient to the parking lots for BWI.
  18. I think I used the PRICELINE link provided on the board.
  19. Have an early flight out so I booked this hotel. Won it for $35 a night. Just thought id share.
  20. Just thought I would share my Priceline win. I forgot to use the BB PRICELINE link, sorry. Going to Toronto for first time, so I researched it using this site. Ended up getting the Renaissance Hotel connected to the Rogers Centre for $58/night, $206 Total. Works out good cause we have tickets to the Yankees-Blue Jays game on the 13th. Great website.
  21. any idea what hotel it might be if its not the sheraton? just talked to the gf and we have decided to go for those 2 nights for sure.
  22. Thinking of going to NYC for new years but looking at hotels and prices in the city I would rather take the transit into the city than pay $300 a night..We are thinking of going for 2 nights Dec 30th and 31st, so I need some advice for priceline. I wouldnt mind staying in Meadowlands area/jersey city areas. A bidding strategy I guess and what price is realistic in paying. Also what price do you think you could get for new years in the city? just curious I also found this hotel on hotwire 3-star hotel in Secaucus - Meadowlands This midscale establishment offers more than just the basics in style, comfort and customer service. See hotel details Amenties: Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business, Golf Nearby, high speed internet Is this the sheraton meadowlands? would that be good for $79/night plus tax? any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance
