I just booked my first hotel through PL and got the Hyatt Embarcadero on 4 bids for $85/nite 4/25 to 4/30/07. Im sure i could of gotten it for less (between $77 and 85) impatience got the better of me since this was a special date (anniversary) and it was my first bidding attempt (newbie). I had checked hotwire and the best deal there was $114/nite. Here's a summary of my bids: First Bid: $70/nite, 4* USE Second Bid: $75/ 4* USE + Cathedral Hill Third Bid $77 4*USE + Cathedral Hill + South San Francisco (note first three bids were essentially USE only, since Cathedral Hill and SSF have no 4* hotels) Fourth Bid $85 4*USE + Cathedral Hill + South San Francisco + USW The total cost was $85 / nite (my bid) plus about $15/nite in taxes and fees. The hotel features many amenities, a waterfront view, rooftop restaurant, access to fitness center. No need to rent a car (Parking is $27 to $43 /nite) because the hotel is adjacent to the BART station for ease of airport transfers (BART ~$6/each way or shuttle $14-22 each way) depending on which airport.
