  2. I bid $60 for this and it came back with an offer for me for $77 a night so I accepted. Regular rate was $174 a night for this time.
  3. I just got a room for 2 nights at the four points sheraton Niagara Falls, NY for $49 a night through the savingsbarn.com HOTWIRE link. It listed fitness center, pool, restaurant, laundry, and hi-speed internet access as the amenities.
  4. oops sorry about posting in the wrong place. I figured since it was hotwire I should post in that section. Thank you for the advice about the 2 star. I really like the looks of the Beekman Tower and would definitely consider the possibility of splitting or maybe even just booking it for the whole stay. I may have to cut out a day to make it affordable but the suite may be worth it. Is it nonrefundable through that site that you linked me too? I also liked the looks of most of the 3 star hotels in Midtown East and West. I haven't had a chance yet to look at the 3 stars in Central Park area.
  5. Does anybody have any ideas what a 2* Midtown South with boutique, internet acess and kitchenette might be?
  6. I am thinking of now trying hotwire. I saw a 3 star (White House Capitol Hill) with restaurant, pool, fitness center and laundry for $119. I am thinking it is the Holiday Inn on the Hill. Should I post this in the hotwire forum?
  7. Thank you for the strategy plan...no luck though..everything was rejected. Should I try for 3 stars now or try the $170-$200 range for a 4 star? What about midtown south---Is it a bad area?
  8. I just want to be close to most of the sites. In order of my preference WhiteHouse/Downtown, Capitol Hill Convention Center, Dupont Circle. I am willing to pay up to $125 for a 4 star. If thats not possible I would like to try for a 3 star.
  9. I will be driving to washington and staying 5/28-6/1. I have never been and am going for site seeing. I will be traveling with my husband and 3 year old. I am not familiar with the area, but would like to stay in a location that has easy acess to metro or walking distance to alot of sites. I would appreciate any suggestions. We are not too picky about hotels. 4* would be nice but 3* will be fine too if its a good location. Here is what I have tried so far. I went with the suggestion from one of the other posts. I had no luck with this. I am fine with another location if I can get it for a better price. As long as it is close to most stuff. Select 4* White House... Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $65, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously. Select 4* Whilte House and re-bid zone2 Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $75, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously. Select 4* Whilte House and re-bid zone3 Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone1... 10. I am going to New York City on 6/1/07-6/05/07 or 6/06/07 depending on the cost. I will stay an extra day if the price is right. It will be me, my husband, and my 3 year old. We have never been to new york so we are going mainly for sightseeing. I also need wherever I stay to be in a good location for traveling with my 3 year old. Like easy access to transportation or walking distances to most sites. We are not really picky about hotels. I would love a nice 4 star but I mainly just want a good location. I would like to spend no more than $200 a night but of course would be thrilled with $140-$170 range This is what I have tried so far Midtown West 6/1-6/6 4* $140 Rebid zone Upper East Side $150 Rebid Zone Upper West Side $160 No luck Midtown West 6/1-6/5 4* $160 No luck Any Advice? I am not opposed to a 3 star but I just didn
