January 23 thru the 26th 2010 Didn't get it at $93 & went up to the $97. This is my favorite hotel & location in LA and I was thrilled to win this Hotel at this price.

Saw that bids in the $52 - $55 range were accepted. Started bidding at $52 last week, was rejected up to $62. This morning went in at $68 (Southfield 4*) and was accepted. Maybe I could have gotten it a few $$ cheaper, but compared to $229 on Travelocity, I think I did ok!

My mother called me that she was 90 miles from DC and needed 2 rooms for the night. I bid 4* $75 on "White House: and was denied. Added "Convention Center" and upped to $80 and got Renaissance Washington. My parets loved the hotel so much that they didn't want to leave! The highlight of their trip was when my dad was told that if he wanted to stay another night it would cost him $389!!! Made his day!

I happen to have reservations there (that's where we normally stay in LA) for $195/night & $175/night for Fri & Sat nights. I was hoping to get one of the Ave of the Stars hotels for even cheaper (as so many betterbidding members are getting $99-$135 there).

OK.. I'll lay off for a week and see what happens. In the meantime i have reservations at the Crown Plaza for about $185/night

Now I'm rejected at $159!!! Am I trying too far in advance for 7/30 thru 8/3? How high will I have to go?

I started at $85.. it seems that people are getting done at <$125. i AM NOW REJECTED AT $145!!!! wHAT THE HECK? My travel dtaes are 7/30 - 8/3. What am I doing wrong? I got a 4* in SF for the 2nd part of my trip (@ $92!!) - can't seem to nail down the BH part of my trip. ANYONE?!?!??!?!!??
