2.5* Woodlands, TX $51 La Quinta Inn Houston Woodlands 6/19 to 6/22 I'm a little disappointed as I did expect La Quinta to be a 2* and not a 2.5*, would not have bid $51 if I had known. I guess this property has been upgraded to a 2.5*. Hopefully this'll help someone else!

Very disappointed with this one, was expecting a hotel more true to the 3* rating. Could've gotten it cheaper at the Best Western site ($73 + taxes/fees = $85) 3* Houston Aldine-Bush Intcl Airport Best Western Greenspoint $69 for 1 night, 9/10/07 $89.29 with fees and taxes Hotel only showed up when Adults = 1. With Adults = 2, this hotel did not show up. Amenities: Complimentary Breakfast Pool(s) Laundry Facilities Fitness Center Business Center High-speed Internet Access

Yes this was in the Tech Center zone. Found out a little bit more about the hotel during the stay -- they are renovating it and it will be converted to a DoubleTree. The hotel was not refurbished, pools were closed, restaurant was closed, etc. But the room we stayed in was renovated and looked great.

Just needed a room for this evening - never heard of this hotel before -- Hotel Denver Tech Center, 3* for $46. Amenities were fitness, restaurant, and business center. Located at 7801 East Orchard Road Englewood, Colorado 80111.

Declined and added Littleton zone at $50, accepted.

First bid was $41 for 4*, rejected. Added 3* and upped to $43, successful.

The lowest non-priceline, non-hotwire rate I found before bidding was with Thrifty at $252 for the 5 day period using the Sam's club discount. But Hotwire had SUVs at 26.95, 162.87 total so I gave priceline a try.

Hyatt Harborside 4* Amenities: Airport Shuttle, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center 6/11/05, 1 night, $115 plus taxes and fees = 135.95, used the $10 GIFTCARD06 code to get $10 off. Total = 125.95 Rates for 3* and 4* in the area from Expedia/Orbitz/Hotel websites were $229 and higher.

I'd been bidding every 3 days for the last 3 weeks in the $60 to $80 price range, 4* and 3*. For this particular day, I first bid 4*, then added the 3*.

5/18/05-5/21/05 3* St. Pete Beach got the Sirata for $79. We're happy with it, lowest price for those dates were $139 at Hotels.com and $149 on their website. No availablity at all at Don CeSar. Lowest rates were $200+ for other hotels in the area that we liked (Clearwater Beach).

Just a follow up: Did not use priceline or hotwire for this trip. Used an email rate for Disney's Contemporary Resort for $149 per night.

I still don't know what these hotels are but I thought it was interesting that the rates have gone down for these same hotels during the same timeframe. The 2.5* is now 75 (from 92) and the 2* is now 83 (from 103). We currently have backup reservations at the Courtyard in Cocoa for 105, but if we can find out if these hotels are any good, then we might switch. If anyone has any ideas, they'd be appreciated!

Thanks for all the input. I will wait it out, I'm really hoping for a resort hotel from priceline at around $70 (hoping for the Dolphin but any of the other Priceline resort hotels would be fine), but my attempts have been rejected so far. We also have backup reservations at Shades of Green, so if we don't get a resort hotel we'll stay there. Just thought I'd see what Hotwire had to offer.

May 31st - June 5 3.5* in WDW area, shows restaurant as only amenity, $46. Any idea what hotel this is? Thanks!
