Previous bids for 4* of $102 and $112 were rejected. $120 was accepted. (Current list price is $209 a night, so $120 is much better!) Hint: I expanded 4* search to East Haven - Branford (don't think they have a 4* there, so it's a free extra try per day). Hope this helps someone!

Update: Bid of $91 failed, but I got a message saying if I added $22 to my bid, I could bid again today (so I knew I was close). I instead bid $103, which was accepted at the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino. For 4 nights, that works out to about $500 (with taxes) When combined with two $450 direct tickets from Newark, this quick trip for two (our 10 year anniversary) is only about $1,400. Other sites that offered the Marriott specifically as part of a package "deal" cost about $1,000 more. I have had exceptional experiences with Priceline - getting very nice hotels for fractions of list prices. Thanks!

With someone else getting $60, thought I would try it myself. No luck at 60 and the free retry with resorts+ 4* hotel at $65. Will keep trying in future dates and keep everyone informed... Any thoughts on whether the price should be higher or lower than "normal" given it's only about three weeks away?

I wanted 4* deluxe accommodations in downtown Philadelphia. Started at $56, then $59, then $64, then was accepted at $68 for a one night stay on 27 January 2007. (added other Philadelphia regions with no 4* hotels to get multiple tries). With taxes, comes to about $85. Current price on other travel websites is $209 + taxes. Seems like a good deal! Cheers!
