Out of curiousity, what do you think this hotel is? 3.5-star hotel in Midtown Central Boutique, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Hi-Speed Internet Access $168 for same stay 1/19 - 1/21 My sisters favorite hotel is the Hudson - so I was wondering if this might be it...

No, that wouldn't make sense because doesn't Priceline incorporate a "fee" into their taxes and fees quote? I'm assuming it would turn out to be a greater total... If you don't think I can beat the Hyatt quote - then I guess it's not worth it!! Thanks for all your advice so far :)

I don't really like the Affinia Group of Hotels... Just a personal preference. The Beekman Tower is alright, but I wanted to see what the other options were. My goal is to beat my $179 price - if possible... If not, I'm perfectly happy with staying at the Hyatt - I love their hotels...

Well, I won't stay Downtown or in Times Square. I don't really want to stay too far up next to the park because my best friend lives on 15th and my sister lives in MTE, she wanted me to be close to her dorm. I'm bringing my fiance along this time - hence the reason we have to get a hotel - and I enjoy the Midtown area. There's places for him to walk around and see if I'm not with him. Right now I have a reservation at the Grand Hyatt at Grand Central for $179... I would like to beat that... Thanks!

The Marcel got horrible reviews, thanks for the heads up!! I just got told by my sister that I need to stay in MTE... Do you think I would have better luck on Priceline? I've never used it, I don't know what the best strategy would be. I would like to stay in a 4* hotel if I could... I figure it's January - I should be able to get a good deal somewhere!
