  1. Went ahead and bid on PRICELINE for 4.5*. Started at 100, went up by $5/bid and won the Le Meridien for $150/night. Pleased with this win.
  2. Thanks for the advice. Hotwire is now showing $161 for a 4* in Financial-Embarcadero area. Still think this is Le Meridian? Amenities Boutique hotelBusiness centerFitness centerGolf nearbyInternet accessPet friendlyRestaurant(s)Smoke-free rooms
  3. Last time we visited San Francisco using Priceline was 2006 and we scored the Hyatt Embarcadero. Any chance that's what they're offering for $139?

  5. Prices are insane this weekend due to the Namm Show so the following bids in both Disneyland zones were unsuccessful: 3.5* up to $90 3* up to $70 2.5* up to $60 Decided I could handle driving myself to Disneyland instead of relying on a shuttle and booked the Fullerton zone.
  6. Went up by $1 increments so this is the bottom dollar price for those dates. Great reviews on TA so I'm happy. Any tips from others who have stayed here?
  7. Thanks for the advice. I ended up booking TI directly to save a few bucks and get half price Cirque tickets.
  8. Tried $60 and was offered a rebid if I raised my bid by $17. Refused the offer, and rebid $65, then was accepted at $69. This is pretty good for a last minute trip. The Hyatt website shows a $119 prepaid rate for these nights, so savings of about a hundred bucks.
  9. You are right, Spa Services shows up as the 9th amenity.
  10. Looking for Mar. 4-7, and getting the following result for 5* Central strip: $109/night Casino, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Bus. Center, High Speed, Golf and Tennis TripAdvisor 4/5 Stars, 1740+ reviews Does the 1740+ reviews mean its the Venetian, as opposed to Wynn? I actually would really prefer the Venetian, since we are traveling as a group of 3 and I have a good chance of getting 3 beds (including pull-out) at Venetian. Also, changing the number of adults to 3 seems to yield the same hotel but for a much higher rate of $153.
  11. Decided to break up the stay and got the Crowne Plaza Anaheim for $44 from 2/12/09-2/15/09. $41 and $42 were rejected, $44 was accepted. Please update the subject of this post accordingly. Used the PRICELINE link as well. Thanks for the support everyone!
  12. Got this on the first bid. Fully expected to win the Holiday Inn as several have recently, but am equally if not more pleased with the Doubletree as it has better reviews, slightly cheaper parking and a nicer pool area. Forgot to use the PRICELINE link (sorry!), but I will make sure to remember as I book the rest of my stay.
  13. Thanks for the input. The $4 shuttle sounds like it will do the job for any hotel that doesn't offer it's own shuttle. I know that with Priceline there is always the risk of getting something unexpected, but it seems pretty safe. And worst case scenario I pay for a cab each day to and from the park, still probably cheaper than paying rack rate at a hotel. My dates are Feb. 10-15, although I'm still debating whether to split this stay up and stay in LA for the first 2 nights and then Anaheim for the remaining 3. If I do this, then the question regarding the shuttle will be less important as a car rental would be in order.
  14. I can't find mention of a free park shuttle on the Hilton chain hotels in the Disneyland PRICELINE zone. Does anyone know if there are any hotels in the DL zone that don't offer a free shuttle. This would be a deal-breaker as we're not traveling with a car.
  15. Accepted on first bid. I hope the place is decent enough. Ahh well it's basically the same price as booking a hostel so it's hard to go wrong.
  16. Was rejected at $68 for USW rejected at $68 for USW and USE accepted at $75 for USW, USE and South San Francisco Pretty happy with the rate for 2 nights.
