There is something about this week in London that is not allowing Priceline to be an option for any hotel/price. I've bid all the way up to the actual going rates of the hotel rooms and am getting nothing! I would book a backup hotel room at the Hilton London Metropole (cheapest good quality hotel) and keep trying between now and then. The hotels aren't booked up, they just aren't on PRICELINE Name Your Own Price.

Everywhere except for the Docklands. Which we'll do if necessary, but not until worst case scenario. I hate to pay $300/night for the Hilton London Metropole directly when someone got it for $80 a few weeks ago.

I have tried booking a hotel in London in every zone (4* and 5*) all the way up to $240 and still can't get anything. Should I be concerned? I see that others have made bookings on these days in the past month for less than half of what I'm bidding. I've never had an issue with London on Priceline before until now. Is there something I don't know about?

Yes, I wasn't too aggressive because one of the biggest trade shows is there at that time (which I'm attending). I had reservations for 249 somewhere else so I just went in at 105 and was pleasantly surprised.
