  1. Thanks to seeing a post on here today saying they had gotten this I went to HOTWIRE (using the BetterBidding Link :) ) and got this hotel Listed featurs: Fitness, Resturant, Business Center, High Speed Internet. Thanks!
  2. I looked at one very much like this the other day. Based on the TripAdvisor rating and the number of rankings, I decided it looked like the Hyatt Grand Cypress. Did not take it, so no idea if I am right but Swan/Dolphin is 3.5/5 on Trip Advisor.
  3. Got a chance for a last minute get away next week. After crusining this board decided just to go with a $90 bid. I don't have a lot of time for "rebids" and some of the resort options were showing sold out for Sunday night. Got this on the first try and it was the one I really wanted. (Based on the sold out options I was thinking it would be this or the Crowne Plaza) Best price I was seeing online was close to $300 so I am pleased! Also, checked HOTWIRE and had a $154 a night which I was really sure was the Crowne Plaza.
  4. Thanks! I live in Nashville, so I have a pretty good idea of what to expect. This acutally works out pretty well since I was not really planning to start by Disney part of the vacation until Sunday so I can spend Saturday exploring this place!
  5. Listing showed Resort, Resturant, Pool, Fitness Center, High Speed Internet, Business Center, Golf Nearby, Childrens Program and Spa $132 for the night of 10/16.
  6. Going to visit my Dad for Father's Day. Started at $50 and kept increasing by $5 and adding areas where I did not believe there were resorts (airport, Kisimmee). I have stayed here before and for a summer weekend think this is an excellent rate. I like the hotel and the location.
  7. This is in the downtown zone. It turns out I am not even going to be able to use this due to a work committment. (The office will reimburse me)
  8. I have been requested to post some information on my bidding success on Priceline in the Orlando area. The only hotels that I routinely follow are the resort hotels (My theory being that I can normally get a resort on Priceline for the price of the All Stars) I have seen the Gaylord Palms, Marriott World Center, Wyndam Palace and Hilton come up fairly consistently with an occasional Swan/Dolphin thrown in. As for prices, I have gotten the Marriott, Wyndam and Hilton at various times anywhere between $60 and $75. (I have never gone over $75). I would say I have used Priceline for around 5 or 6 stays and never gotten the Swan/Dolphin so my feeling is that it is much harder then the others. I have also noticed people getting the Grosvenor and Sheraton Safari in the 3 star range. I have also bid a few times on Airport hotels. In the three star range I have gotten the Airport Marriott and the Hyatt. I think the Marriott I got for under $40 and the Hyatt for about $60. Hope that helps!
  9. This one was a little harder than usual Strated at 60 with Convention Center rejected, Added Embassy/Dupont area and went to $65 rejected, added Downtown and went to $70 rejected, added Springfield and went to $70. Details $80 Tax 11.60 I had looked at the various potential hotels in DC using TravelAxe and felt like anything under $100 in the metro area would be a pretty good deal for a Tuesday night.
  10. All of that is at my office. Hopefully, I will remember to post it next week!
  11. Got this 4 star hotel for $50 a night plus the $10 bonus that just expired. It was my first bid and I was very surprised that a 4 star in the Dupont Circle was accepted this low. Especially since this is Cherry Blossom festival time in DC.
