We stayed at the Wyndham in March and it was fine. They peridically run 72 hour sales on select properties so you might check their site. Our room was great, service was good, check-in fast. kim

Thanks so much for your help! I will continue to use savingsbarn and have my friend do the same. I saw on another bidding site that someone bid $80 and was successful, this was her first bid. I was thinking maybe 70 or 75 would be accepted. You five or ten bucks adds up for 6 nights esp. with all that hotel tax and service charge they stick you with!!! My concern now is what we might have to pay for a flight. Do you have any idea what a good price is on air from say, IND, CVG or Louisville might be? I say a deal on US Airways but you have to travel my May 23. It seems that know is the time for airlines to advertise deals. Do you have any scoop on that? Thanks ! kim

Update... I tried Priceline last night at $50 resort,Grand Bahamas, x2rooms for 6 nights(Jun.27-July3) and was rejected :) . My friend also tried at $60 and was rejected. Thereyouare, I am still interested in your thoughts.... I can get a AAA rate of $99. kim

Hello, I am thinking about Summer vacation planned for 6/26/04-7/3/04 we are traveling with another couple and will have a total of 8 persons(4 adults,4 children). We have looked into traveling from home(we live in Bloomington,IN) to Ft. Lauderdale and then taking a ferry to Freeport. We were quoted $400.00 per person...this includes,ferry,ground tranfer and 6 nights at Island Seas Resort where we would have 2-2bedroom condos. I am thinking that if I secured a hotel though Priceline(would love either the Sheraton or Westin at Our Lucaya) that would could almost fly for the same cost. Flight rates look high now...best I could find was $370.oo ...but, I expect we might catch a deal later on. Is it too soon to bid for Our Lucaya? Where would you start your bid? Thanks, Kim

Okay I booked the 4 nights directly with the MGM hotel at $119 per night, Emerald Tower($523.00 total).This is cancelable within 48 hours before check-in. I understand I can monitor the hotel site to see if rates drop and will do so. If I could get the Venetian for less through Priceline I will continue to try that option as well. I was wondering though... do you think my teens 13,15 would prefer one over the other. It seems a shame to not take advantage of a good deal on the Venetian since it is a 5*. Could anyone compare the hotels for me? Do you think it is realistic that I can score the Venetian through Priceline for less than Iam currently planning to spend at the MGM? I could use some help advise from Vegas Veterans. My family is planning a trip to Vegas, arriving Nov. 27 and departing Dec. 1(4 nts). I have been bidding on 5*(Venetian) for a week or so when I saw rooms going for $79. I have bid up to $110.00 without success. Hotwire list this as $177 per night so I assume my bid is too low. How much might I expect to pay for this hotel? Do you think rates may decrease as the dates draw nearer? I also bid some 4* tonight up to $85 and was rejected. Please note that I avoided rebids that would but would allow me to score in any other zone besides the Las Vegas Strip Area. I would really like to stay at the MGM...rates on their site are $120.00 average for the nights in question so the $137 rate on hotwire really isn't a savings. Do hotwire rates drop as well as the date in question draws near? Thanks for your help! kim
