  1. Your Price Was Accepted Congratulations, your price of $49 was accepted by Sheraton Portland Airport Hote Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $49.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $13.75 Total Charges*: $62.75 I put in the bid through the Better Bidding PRICELINE link
  2. Red Lion Portland Airport accepted my first bid Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $39.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $12.31 Total Charges*: $51.31 A little steep but limited Internet access the next few days forced my hand.
  3. After the evil queen of that other site erased my info request thread, a kindly subadministrator there suggested the hotel was the Sheraton which had been upgraded fron 3*. Having stayed there on a non-PL stay there a few years back, I find that highly improbable, but the guy has a good rep.
  4. Was bidding for Portland Airport and noticed they've added a 3.5* hotel. There were a couple of hotels under construction when I was there a month or two ago but can't remember which one. Or it might be an existing hotel upgraded. Tried to bid on it from $38-48 for 3/16 but no dice. Any ideas? TIA
  5. Won on first bid. Used the site PRICELINE link. Subtotal: $34.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $11.52 Total Charges*: $45.52 Won this (newish) property on a similar PL bid in the spring. Front desk was quite nice then. They accepted a package for me. The property manager let me email her an attachment which she printed off and FAXed (international) for free. Sometimes getting additional room servicing is a problem, though. It's at the end of a court, past a convenience store and Wendy's. Internet $5 per stay (not per day).
  6. Following previous poster, tried $36 (rejected), added Speedway @ $41 (no dice), then added Northwest @ $44 for the win. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $44.00 Subtotal: $44.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $14.31 Total Charges*: $58.31 AM is full service and convenient for early flights and quick trips.
  7. Well it IS convenient to shopping, and MAX for evening trips downtown. I can avoid most of the reported problems with this 'Lion. In the past I would shoot for a 2 1/2 * in the 'burbs and pay $30-35 for a better (or at least newer/larger) room than this property offers. Summer weekdays in Pacific NW = limited availiability + higher rates. But I'll "splurge" for my last night.
  8. Started with 18-22 August $39 with Lake Oswego and kept on adding zones on West Side, then Convention Center up to $61. No dice. Changed checkout to the 21st and got a surprise :) Red Lion listed no rooms available 18th to 22nd on their site so thought I was safe. Will think twice before I change dates again. Check-In Date: Mon, Aug 18, 2008 / After 02:00 PM Check-Out Date: Thu, Aug 21, 2008 / 11:00 AM Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $61.00 Subtotal: $183.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $32.62 Total Charges*: $215.62 PL's regular rate for the hotel is $92 per night. Used the BB PRICELINE link so someone should profit from my misteak...
