  1. Got this last week, using the PRICELINE link and using my usual bidding strategy of free rebid zones and increasing up $1 at a time. Had originally been trying for a 4* in Downtown South but had no luck up to $84, to which point I had noticed hotwire having a 3* downtown hotel at $86 so I thought I'd try my luck at getting it at a lower price on priceline.
  2. Bidding for 3* in Airport East zone for the past few days, using the only free rebid zone available and increasing the bid by a $1 each time (ignoring counter offers at $15 more each time) and got the Toronto Airport Hotel at $49. Had bid up to $62 on a four star in this zone without any success, and looking through the previous posts it looks like getting a 3 star hotel for under $50 in Toronto seems like a good deal. The hotel list may need to be updated - the address of this hotel is 600 Dixon Road which looking on the web seems to be the old Holiday Inn Toronto Airport East hotel.
  3. Just got: Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Airport/Millenium Center Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Didn't match any hotels on the list, but thought I'd take the chance for the price and the fact that Hotwire was saying it had recommendations of 100% of customer reviews. Used the HOTWIRE link, am kinda happy that I have been able to provide new information that may be useful for others in much the same way this site has been useful for me over the past few years. :)
  4. Got this hotel at $42 after bidding up $1 at a time using free rebid zones and getting counteroffers for $10 more from bids of $37 onwards. Was originally trying the dates 9/21 - 9/25 with no one accepting up to $45; checked on Hotwire and saw that the cheapest was showing $100+ per night for that star rating downtown, however changing the dates showed a hotel matching the Sheraton at $54 so I went back to Priceline and started revising my bids. Still have the Tuesday night to sort out, but as my flight arrives into DFW after 9pm I'm a little bit more inclined to try and find an airport hotel just to crash for the night before moving on. Used the PRICELINE link. And thanks for the board, it always is a great resource of information. :)
  5. Been bidding for the past few days, creeping up $1 at a time and using free rebid zones, got the Marriott STL for $42. Had counteroffers at $36 and $37 for $10 more, $11 more at $39, and $12 more at $40. Also was bidding at three star level for the same date, didn't have anyone biting at $35. Stayed there before during a missed connection on American three or four years ago, was happy with the hotel back then :) Used the PRICELINE link.
  6. If you were trapped on an island, I'm thinking that this site would actually be of limited appeal. :) For every other instance, ever since I have become a fan of Hotwire/Priceline this site has become invaluable.
  7. One room, three nights, three adults. Amenities: Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Also, don't know whether this has been mentioned on the boards before, but I saved an extra $1 per night by searching for the zip code of 30303 rather than for "Atlanta". Discovered this trick a little while ago; doesn't always work but when it does.... :) Used the HOTWIRE link as well.
  8. $39 per night, $95.81 total including taxes. (got this past Saturday) Airport Shuttle Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Used the HOTWIRE link.
  9. Been bidding for the past couple of weeks, and since time has been on my side been deliberately going low just in case something hit. Had a bid of $72 rejected earlier today, this was going to be my last bid for the day in Downtown as staying in Buckhead would have been more appealing for me at the higher rate.
  10. First bid accepted. Checked on Expedia and the hotel's website and I've saved 70% First time successful on priceline, have used hotwire previously.
