  1. I've done some digging around and, based on the distance to the B/N airport and the listing of a coin laundry as an ammenity, I believe this hotel to be the Days Inn at the Falls.
  2. I'm not sure how I missed that one. Has it been identified?
  3. Hi. The date of our stay is April 4th-6th, 2008. Thanks for your help!
  4. This sounds like the Comfort Suites to me, (which is available on Priceline) but that is just a guess.
  5. Hi, everyone. I need some help identifying two hotels on HOTWIRE The list in this section has two *** hotels that would be perfectly acceptable, but my Hotwire search doesn't generate any *** hotels (in Niagara Falls, NY proper). I get the following two: Details for your 2.5-star hotel in Niagara Falls, New York Hotel Amenities Pool(s) Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal. Restaurant(s) Property offers at least one restaurant on the premises; hours and days of operation may vary. Details for your 2-star hotel in Niagara Falls, New York Hotel Amenities Pool(s) Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal.High-speed Internet Access Guestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access; an extra charge may apply. Any thoughts?
  6. Yes - it is the Comfort Suites @ 601 Main St. Thanks for continuing to host such a great board!
  7. This was formerly known as the Holiday Inn Select Niagara Falls.
  8. Just as an update, this is now known as the Crowne Plaza Hotel Niagara Falls.
  9. I purchased this room on Priceline via the SavingsBarn link here on Betterbidding.com I had previously booked two nights at the Crowne Plaza (Holiday Inn Select) in Niagara Falls. I was unable to "Extend My Stay" option so I decided to start fresh. I was looking for something inexpensive but close the first hotel. I started with a $20 bid for the Niagara Falls area (3 stars) and worked up to $35 by adding an area with subsequent bids. I was willing to live with the 3 star hotels Downtown, Amherst, and Grand Island. There were no 3 star hotels in the Hamburg or East Niagara Falls areas. I did not use the Airport area as some of the 3 star hotels seemed questionable. After failing at $35, I added the 2.5* level (only applicable to Downtown, I believe). My next bid was accepted. ----------------------- Congratulations, you got your price of $36 for a 2
  10. Whoops - there is a typo in the subject line. It should be $50, not $5!!!!!!
  11. I won the following Priceline deal on my first bid. I wanted the Holiday Inn because it is attached to the convention centre, but would have been okay with the Sheraton. Both are listed as 3* hotels in the hotel list. ----------------------- Congratulations, you got your price of $50 for a 3-star hotel room. Holiday Inn Select Niagara Falls Check-In Date: Friday, March 23, 2007 Your Offer Price: $50.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $100.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $22.15 Total Charges*: $122.15 ----------------------- Price for an "advanced booking" room via the Holiday Inn website is $232.20 (plus 13% tax). Prices on Travelocity and Orbitz were identical. By my calculations, my costs were aprox 45% of "retail". Good deal!
  12. I recently booked the Aladdin via the EasyClickTravel link. I did some fairly extensive research before doing so, and it appears that the construction is entering the final stages. As of late-October, the work is apparently focussed on the main entrance. The primary complaints appear to be related to the impact on check-in's, particularly the very long walk from self-parking to the temporary check-in desk. The casino itself still has walled-off portions, but the rooms are not currently impacted. Minor work is underway in the Desert Passages mall. I felt confident booking for our early December trip, but I'll be monitoring the various review forums and may cancel if things go off-course during November. Hope this helps a bit!
  13. The Imperial Palace isn't nearly as bad as some of the reviews might suggest, but it is an older hotel and can't compare to the new mega-hotels. As others have mentioned, the location is fantastic. I have been in Circus Circus, but never stayed there. I know a few people who have, though, and none of them had particularly kind things to say about their stay.
  14. Thanks, Mikey. Unfortunately, this is the only weekend that we can get away. I'll check out the Hard Rock.
  15. Something that I've thought of is staying at a less expensive place (Sahara or such) on the Saturday night, and then moving to a nicer place for Sun/Mon. Any thoughts?
  16. Hi, thereuare, thanks for your response. I would like to spend between $300-$500 on the Hotel. Sun-Thurs doesn't quite work. Sat-Tues (coming home on the red eye) seems to be the best way that I can maximize our time (while only hitting 1 of the 2 expensive nights). Using Expedia.ca, I can get the Mirage (bundled with airfare) for around $400 (seems like an excellent deal). I've also checked out the oft-mentioned Alladin deal on EasyClickTravel.com and it seems like a great deal for $264.23. Any thoughts?
  17. Hi, everyone. I am looking to surprise my wife with a birthday get-away to Las Vegas. I have some flexibility on the dates, with the ideal timeframe including the weekend of December 9th/10th. I had originally considered going Friday-Monday, but it sounds like Saturday-Tuesday might be a more cost effective option. The Alladin and Luxor both seem to be in my price range. My question is, what is the best way (as far as # of days & actual dates) to get the most bang for the bucks? Thanks!
  18. Courtyard By Marriott Mississauga-Airport Corporate Center West (not the Courtyard by Marriott Mississaugua) Overnight stay on March 24th, 2006. Decent business hotel. Staff was excellent and treatment was identical to what would have been provided to a walk-in client paying full rates. Good alternative to the larger hotels for a stop-over before/after flying. Free parking and a nice little bar. Great value and no complaints.
  19. Hi. First post here - sorry that I don't recall my bid history details. I believe that I initially bid in the $25 range. ----------------------- Congratulations, you got your price of $34 for a 2
