  3. I'm bringing my employees to Vegas. We may want to head out after an all day meeting / dinner, so I'm thinking we would want to stay in the North Strip and have some fun. Here's what I see that intrigues me: 5-star Resort in North Strip - Fashion Show Mall area $117 5* / 95% recommended Amenities Business center, CasinoGolf nearby, Internet access, Pool(s), Resort, Restaurant(s), Suite 5-star Boutique Hotel in Center Strip - Fountains area $112 5* / 90% recommended Amenities Boutique hotel, Condo, Fitness center, Pet friendly, Pool(s, Restaurant(s), Smoke-free rooms, Suite 4-star Casino Hotel in North Strip - Fashion Show Mall area $60 4* / 85% recommended Amenities Business center, Casino, Fitness center, Golf nearby, Internet access, Pool(s), Resort, Restaurant(s) Any idea on what these could be? And if we are just staying one night, is it worth a 5* or will my employees be happy with the 4*. (as long as it's not dumpy / shabby that may work) Thank you so much!
  4. Thank you, I have replied with the winning bid on my last post. I also searched using those links and everything is the same, I have those 2 that I'm wondering about. Of course, I will use your links when purchasing them too :)
  5. I ended up finding the 3.5* hotel The Boxer for $165 per night. I even was upgraded to a small suite. They had great service too.
  6. I have a group of 4 going to Phoenix on Jan 24-27. We have found these 2 on Hotwire which we are torn about, so we'd like to get some good feedback on what they could be. Mesa East area hotel 3* Reg:$110 hot Rate:$36 55% Recommended Free Parking Free Breakfast Free Internet Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center Self service laundry Internet access Tempe - ASU area 3.5* Reg:$159 hot Rate:$48 80% Recommended Free Parking Free Internet Pet friendly Airport Shuttle Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Also, the above 55% recommended scares me a little. Should it? Thanks a ton in advance
  7. Sorry about that. Here are the HOTWIRE ones I was talking about. 8. Okay, did a little more research, and may have found somethings worthwhile. Hope the links are still good by the time you get to it. http://www.hotwire.com/hotel/details?searchId=7544946960&solutionId=286891813164 If its this hotel: http://www.hotwire.com/hotel/details?searchId=7544946960&solutionId=286893934055 it would take a 25 minute bus ride to get to the event but it is a good price Also, found this: http://www.hotwire.com/hotel/details?searchId=7544946960&solutionId=286887265207 and if it is real close and a nice hotel, it would be worth it. I have no clue on how to find out what hotel it could be.
  9. Almost all activities that are planned are at that location. Me and my employee are in our mid 30s. We don't "whoop it up" like back in the college days either, so nightlife isn't crucial. So, that being said, being close is nice, but I don't have any problem staying in the city if it means better rates and some cool things to check out nearby. It seems like I am hopeless to find anything decent for the $150 per night mark though :(
  10. We may head over near there on Thursday night for a party, then Friday and Saturday will be 9am - 7pm. Sunday will be 9am - 5pm. I haven't considered staying downtown at all. It would be something I'd do though if it were a better idea. Do you get more "Bang for your buck" there? I did a quick search and didn't see much of a price improvement. Is it just cooler over there? Wondering your thoughts on staying downtown.
  11. I of course will use your links, especially when purchasing, as I have before. I also mentioned what I thought was a good deal. What other information did you need from me?
  12. I am bringing one person (2 total including me) to a conference at Harvard on Nov 7-10. So, 3 nights. Actual address of the event is 2 Cambridge Center Cambridge, Massachusetts 02142 I found a 3.5* on Priceline as a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for Cambridge - West Harvard for $181 per night. It only touted a business center. Guest rating was 8.0. I'm looking to spend closer to $150 per night if at all possible. Actually I want us to stay nearby in a comfortable hotel and just want the best deal possible. Not sure what the best avenue from here is, so any advice would be splendid. Thank you!
  13. Thank you. I will most likely click on your link and get that hotel this evening. My conference is in Berkely, but I heard that its mostly trashy and dodgy over there, and staying in SF is the way to go. Unless you urge me to look otherwise, I will most likely grab that hotel in Japantown.
  14. *Update, I tried on a whim bidding in both union centers and financial district 3.5* and up for $164 and got nothing. I see two of them for $166. One is a 3.5* that originally is $229, and the other is a 3* that originally is $279. What would you do? Any hunch to which one is which?
  15. Wow, I'm shocked at how much you've helped me so far. Thank you thank you. I'd really like to get something closer to $150 per night, but as it looks, this may be my only shot. Never stayed in a Japanese hotel before, but there is a first for everything I guess.
  16. Correct, but I actually edited my post to show I went to $155. I looked at the 3* and under and a few hotels had bad reviews, so I really want to tread carefully. I also don't have much more in the travel budget either. I'm just looking for a nice place to stay in San Fran for around $150 p/n. I am a little upset, though, as I did see a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for a 4* for $160 that by the time I got my plans finalized, the express deal was removed.
  17. For location, I have an event to attend in Berkley, but just want to hang in SF in between. Here is the list of zones I wouldn't mind being in Civic Center South - Hayes Valley Financial District - Embarcadero Fisherman's Wharf Japan Town - Civic Center North Marina - Lombard Street SOMA - Moscone Center Union Square East Union Square West - Nob Hill I have been bidding up to $155 so far. Thanks for your help
  18. Hey guys. New here. Looking to stay in SF on Sep 27th - 29th. I'd like 3.5* minimum and I don't care where, as long as it is in the city and not near the airport. I'm hoping to spend less than $145 per night. I've been striking out left and right. Should I wait until closer to the date? Should I try now? Are my prices too low? I'll take any advice at all.
