  1. Yes, those are the amenities for the opaque site. My stay is for one night on 4/24/13.
  2. I saw on another post that you needed the drop down list of amenities so here you go. It shows the regular price of 206 and when I run a bundle inquiry for this area the Regency DFW is what comes up. 4-star Hotel in DFW North and Grapevine This Hotel features the following amenities: Free Parking Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Guests have access to exercise equipment; an additional charge may apply. 3. I'm on Hotwire and there is a 4* in the DFW North Grapevine area with the following amenities: Free Parking, Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Restaurants, Business Center. I've looked at the previous wins hotel list for this area and it seems like the only hotel at that star level without a pool would have to be the Regecy DFW. Do you think this is a match?
  4. I would like to score a beachfront property in the San Diego area. What bidding area should I use?
  5. Selected 4* Seattle Downtown - Pikes Place and started at $65, rejected but offered to rebid if I added $20. I declined this and tried again adding other territories then tried 68, 71, 74, 75, 76 and success! Received the Hyatt at Olive 8 for $76. It has good reviews online and current rates are for $204 a night so I got a good deal. Looks like it is close to light rail to get us to the game. Thanks for the help. Used the PRICELINE link.
  6. We'll be there next weekend, the 26th and 27th. I was looking at 4* since there are a lot of rebids. What price would you recommend I start at?
  7. What Seattle area should I bid in if I want a hotel close to the Seahawks game?
  8. I have seen several bids for San Diego - Downtown Gaslamp District, but when I go to PRICELINE it doesn't show this exact region. Did they redo their map recently? Do you think that the Downtown San Diego and Harbor Island area would be the equivalent area? I really want something in the Gaslamp District.
  9. I realize this is an old post, but wanted to add an update on the hotel. They put us in the typical "Priceline Room". We had to treck quite a way from the elevator to get to the room and our view was less than spectacular looking out over the air conditioner. The hallway had panels missing on the walls that cleaning carts were put in front of to hide. I didn't get a chance to see what other rooms looked like but ours was big enough and it was nice to have the kitchenette with a small child. It was clean and comfortable. The hotel has a great rooftop bar that we visited one night. Great drinks and a pretty active social scene. The noise didn't reach our room. All in all, I was very pleased.
  10. I know that this is a very old bid, but I thought I would update a review on this hotel. As you said, the rooms were very large. It was actually more of a one bedroom suite. there was a seperate living area that included a pull out couch, microwave, tv and refrigerator. This was seperate from the bedroom which was small but had its own TV. The bathroom was also small, but the sink and vanity were out near the living area so you could have one showering while the other was getter ready. Alltogether, I thought this was a great hotel. Not top of the line, but very spacious and clean and perfect for us since we were travelling with a small child.
  11. I wanted to come back to the board and update you on my win. I bid a couple of weeks ago. Started low and started adding free re-bids in $5 increments. Won the Trump for $90 per night for three rooms.
  12. I bid up to $85. I have a lot of time so I started the bid low.
  13. I'll be in Vegas March 13-15 and would like to get a room at a 5*. I'm seeing a lot of winning bids around $80-100 a night but my initial bids were not successful. What is going on that weekend and are there any tips for me? I'm familiar with the rebid process.
  14. I won the 3* Shelburne Murray Hill (MTS) Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $180.00 Subtotal: $1,440.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $253.51 Total Charges*: $1,693.51 Reviews look great! I had been bidding for the last several days and getting a counter offer at $191. Tonight I bid $140, 160, 170 and won at $180. My backup was the Best Western for $259 so this definitely sounds like an upgrade. Used the PRICELINE link.
  15. All right, I checked out the Pods and I don't think it will work for us. We have a 1 year old that will need to sleep in a pack and play and it doesn't look like there is enough room. I went ahead and gave some bidding a try. Using the free rebids I was given a counter offer of $181 for a 2.5 star and $242 for a three star, both of which are better than what I have booked. I guess, what I am trying to determine now is if I should bid now or wait and see if I can get a better deal. Since this is over a holiday weekend, and rates already seem high I feel like bidding now might be the best idea because the rooms could be sold out if I wait longer.
  16. Thank you so much! We need to be in or near the Chelsea area. We have family that lives at 26th and 6th.
  17. I just booked at the Murray Hill East suites for $342/night with taxes. :) I'm really struggling with this. I can't believe how expensive it all is. I would gladly take any other suggestions on where to stay for less. We really don't need much, just clean with a private bathroom.
  18. At this point I would like to bid for the entire stay without splitting the bid. I may be willing to go with splitting later if I don't have any success or if the savings look very significant. I do think your advice to take a 3* or higher would be best. So at this time, lets try bidding for the entire stay at the 3 and 4 star levels. On your other question, we are going to visit a family member who lives in Chelsea so we would like to stick with the MTS area. Again, this might change if I don't have any success, but I feel like I have enough time to risk it for now. I am going to set up a cancelable reservation just in case.
  19. I will be staying in New York 5/24/08-6/1/08, so a total of 8 nights. I need something in the Midtown South area. I don't see a lot of wins in this area so I'm not sure what to bid. I don't really have a preferance on star level. 2* would be fine but 4* wuold be terrific. I would like to keep it under $200/night. Is that possible?
  20. I won a bid of $55 for a 2*. It is the Keizer Renaissance Inn in Keizer OR. We should probably add this to the hotel list. Here is how I got there. Yesterday I bid $45 for a 3* and was given a counter offer to add $13 to my bid for acceptance. Instead I added a 2* and bid $46. It was denied. Today I increased my bid to $50 for a 3* and was given a counter offer add $19 and be accepted. Instead I added a 2* and increased bid to $55. This was accepted. :) I know I bid incorrectly and probably overpaid for this 2* room, but overall the location and amenities it has looks ok. The hotels published rates for the same nights are $83.99.
  21. Thank you! I will give that a try and let you know how it goes.
  22. I will be staying in Salem October 12-14. Red Lion is showing $119. Any assistance would be appreciated.
  23. I got this on first try. I probably bid too high but this price is still better than I could get an economy car through regular sites. Your Offer Price: $27.00 Total Rental Days: 3 Subtotal: $81.00 Taxes & Fees: $31.43 Total Charges: $112.43
  24. I got Hertz. Got it on the first try based on previous posts. Your Offer Price: $14.00 Total Rental Days: 4 Subtotal: $56.00 Taxes & Fees: $28.72 Total Charges: $84.72
  25. Rates are now showing $306 for these nights which make me feel much happier about getting a good deal!
