Thanks for all the info on this site. It really helped!!! Checked my rebid zones - only Foothills had the resort or 4 star. I bid 70 in foothills rejected added Airport and I bid 80 rejected added central and I bid 90 and got it. Looks like a nice place - currently showing as $189 on Expedia. Sure beats the econo lodge!! Thanks again for all the help.

Last minute trip got the room the day of check in. Jacksonville beach - Ponte Vedra area - Sea Turtle Inn -->> beachfront / Restaurant / Pool / golf nearby / Laundry I think I know why this hotel is running a discount! they are doing a lot of work on this hotel on the outside. We did not notice at checkin but they had hanging maintenance outside the windows. However, this wasn't a real problem, they started at 9am doing some work a couple floors above. It didn't bother us but I used it to our advantage and asked them to comp our late check out. Check out is 11am / ok to noon / but for 1 and 2 it is $10 each hour. So we got a 2pm check out gratis. We were on the beach the whole time so the maintenance didn't bother us. You might ask at check in to be on the opposite side. They said the maintenance would only last until mid may. I just got a 4* in Midtown East for $161. Inter-Continental The Barclay New York. The icons were: Restaurant / Fitness / Tennis Nearby / Business Center. It was also listed as a customer favorite and best buy. Just to share my experience: This was a fairly short notice trip I had never used hotwire or priceline (or this website) but when faced with the price of rooms in NYC I was interested to figure this out. It was much more difficult since my husband and I are traveling with my daughter. I wasn't comfortable trying priceline and taking the chance of getting a room that would only hold 2. So I figured I would stick to Hotwire and just search for 2 adults plus 1child. I started looking last week, I was afraid I was too late as everytime I checked most were $200 or not desirable. I just kept checking 2 times a day. This hotel showed up on line. I came to this website to verify my guess as to the identity, then I checked the hotel's website and checked that they had rooms with 2 beds available. Well I did a little too much checking I came back and the hotel was gone when I tried to proceed. However, an hour later the same hotel showed up again - same details. I took it. THANKS TO ALL -- IT REALLY DOES WORK. I'll be back. :)
