  1. Hi Thereuare, Yes I tried the above strategy for a number of days, and kept heading upwards! It's unfortunate that my booking coincides with New York Marathon, and Halloween as well! Decided to book the Affinia Shelburne (Mid Town East) direct with the website, rather than going through the PRICELINE link. I have just been successful using priceline for LA... and will be needing to bid again for San fran and LA on the return leg as well.. so hopes are high i can score more deals! Thanks for your insight, has been extremely helpful! As always - will continue to use the links when I bid! Regards, noremac
  2. Happy with this result! Used the PRICELINE links provided on the site to kick start my bidding! Had tried over a few days, starting at about $120 - and working my way up using the 4 rebid zones. There was a 4 star express deal for 197 for the same area, so working on that basis tried to get the room for lower than that. Looking to book again in early November so will see if I can get a comparable rate for then.
  3. No worries - have always clicked on betterbidding.com links to access priceline! Dates are 25th Oct - 4th November. 10 nights in total. Is it easier to split the stay into two 5 night bookings? Any idea on the hotel in the link?
  4. Hi All, I'm hoping some of you can assist in identifying this hotel? I am looking to book 11 days in NY for late oct - early november. I know that it will be hard to get a good rate for such a long stay, so my options are to break up the trip into two stays or book this offer at $266 + taxes. Gauranteed Amenities: - Pets Allowed - Business Center - Restaurant - Fitness Centre Guest Score: Rated 8.0 Any help would be greatly appreciated! Regards, noremac
  5. Hi thereuare, Links have been clicked on! In terms of budget, this time last year i'd be looking at between 180-230 per night + taxes. I'm happy to play in that range.. there is a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for 4* MTE for $250 or TS for $239 on priceline, so hoping to pay less than that through the re-bid process. Am I better off waiting till closer to the date? I think it'll be a fairly busy time of year, Halloween and NY marathon.. so want to get in early and lock down my accommodation! Any assistance would be appreciated!
  6. Hi All, First time user for better bidding and the rebid technique! Partner and Me are heading to New York for the first time later this year and looking for some assistance and price guide for this time period. Looking to stay in a 4* hotel in MTW, MTE, TS, CPS and possibly ESB or SOHO in we can't secure anything in the other preferred areas. I understand that it's fairly early to be booking, and prices will be fairly high for such a long period, any advice?? Would it be better to split up the trip into two lots? booking for 10 days straight might be hard.
