  1. So are you saying that there no rent a car that includes extra driver if not a spouse? Even when renting directly? In terms of insurance I always take as I don't need other insurance, so won't be covered otherwise. I will be picking the car in San Francisco city locatation so that I don't have to pay the extra airport charge (and since we're not flying immediately before or after having the car.
  2. Hi After my recent success for a hotel in SF I'm now considering getting a car for the rest of our California trip. My question is about what is included if I bid for the car. Is an extra driver included or will that be an extra charge, and in terms of insurance will it have the risk reduction waiver, don't really know the proper name but it's the one that includes any damage done do the vehicle instead of us having to pay the first $500 (or whatever value) in case of accident? Also one more question, here in the UK most rent a car offices give the option to deliver the car outside working hours by just parking the car in their allocated car park and dropping the key through a safe box. Is that standard practise in the US too? The reason I ask is because we're driving to SF in the afternoon and aren't sure if we'll make it to their office before closing time, if that is an option we would rather drop the car there at whatever time we arrive instead of having to pay for parking near the hotel for the night and worrying about getting it delivered on time the following morning. (In terms of rental time we will get the car on pick up around 2pm but will never make it on return at that time so will always have to pay for the extra day even if we arrive within working hours) Thank you in advance
  3. Thank you Romelle, I will write a review it after I come back. I was really excited to see that breakfast is included, it will certainly help to keep us on budget! :D

I really need to stick with the $100 budget... Can different days see different results? Do people find that bidding during the weekend has worse results than doing it during the week? Any help really appreciated! Thanks
  6. 4* maximum bid $100 willing to stay in Civic Center South - Hayes Valley ; Financial District - Embarcadero ; Fisherman's Wharf ; Marina - Lombard Street ; SOMA - Moscone Center ; Union Square East ; Union Square West - Nob Hill Am I being a dreamer?
  7. Thank you. I don't mind staying in a different area, would avoid unsafe ones, it seems that Tenderloin is included in Japan Town-Civic Center North, so would avoid that. Budget is more important than stars however I would like to go for something as good as possible within the budget. So I would try for a 4* first including other areas.
  8. Hi! New to this forum and first time user of Priceline. Visiting San Francisco for the first time between the 5th and the 8th of August, preference to stay in Union Square East; Union Square West but not really picky about location to be honest although I want to avoid Richmond and the ones even further away from the center. Preference for a 4 star but making it realist with my budget I'd like to still get a 3 star. Perfect would be to spend only 75$ per night but top budget is 100$. How should I go about it? Is it realistic or is it highly unlikely to happen? Any help is welcome! Many thanks in advance.
