  1. Wow. Did I really warrant the angry smiley? I used to think this board was friendlier and less rigid than the other one. Looks like that's no longer the case. For the record, I didn't realize I was required to give details of arrangements made outside of the questions I was asking and was taken aback when originally told I did not update my answers. So, I went back to update them as requested but apparently that wasn't enough. What hotel I chose after deciding not to go with Hotwire at all really doesn't make a bit of difference to the Hotwire question I asked. As for the Priceline hotel, I apologize if I did not post that on your board what I ultimately did but that also was not the question I was asking. It was identifying the hotel at hand. And I said thanks when I was given the answer. For the record, it was the Sheraton Safari in that case but I don't recall the specifics over a year later. If I had come here to ask about a Priceline hotel, I would have posted on it. I realize the information would have been helpful, but since I came to ask about Hotwire, I just wasn't thinking about it at the time. Thanks for your help, I guess. :) I won't bother to ask for any more assistance here.
  2. Asked to update. Did not go with this unknown hotel.
  3. Asked to update. Did not book this hotel. Went priceline route instead.
  4. I asked for help identifying it in the title. By "got" I meant that it turned up for $90.00 on Hotwire. I'd be happy to look at previous posts to see if there is anything I would add to them.
  5. Got a 3.5* at the airport, checking in on the 24th and out on the 25th for $90.00. Icons that came up were: Shuttle, Pool, Business Center, Fitness Center, Restaurant, Hi Speed Internet On this site, the Hyatt lists: Shuttle, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Tennis, Business Only thing missing from the list I got was Tennis. Is the hotel I got the Hyatt or something else? The Embassy Suites' list and the Crowne Plaza's list were even more off than the Hyatt's.
  6. September 2-4 3* $59.00/night Restaurant and Pool Thanks.
  7. That's odd. I thought I had responded to this last week. Well, I did but it must not have posted. I said "that's what I get for looking at hotels so late at night" in regards to my mistaken icon identity. :) Thanks for the info!
  8. August 26-28 Restaurant, fitness, business, hi speed internet Also listed as the Best Value at $44.00
  9. Actually, I am looking for something in the Downtown Disney area so I can walk to Pleasure Island. I head to Sarasota the next day so just need someplace for the night. I do notice that the Wyndham appears to be showing up today for $20.00 more so I will probably just go with that I guess.
  10. Have a three star hotel showing up for November 26th, checking out on 27th with restaurant, pool, fitness and laundry. Any idea what property this is? I did not see it on the list. Thanks! :)
  11. Oops. Sorry. September 1st to September 5th. It came up at a rate of $108.00 per night. Thanks!
  12. Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Tennis and Golf? Just to clarify, it is in the WDW area. Thanks!
  13. I guess I will just keep my fingers crossed it drops again! :) Thanks for the help.
  14. First off, just want to say I am happy to have found this board. The other board that I am aware of relating to priceline and hotwire bidding just isn't as helpful nor nearly as friendly. My question is this. I have been checking daily on Hotwire (often more than daily) for a four star or more hotel in the WDW area for October 29 to Nov 3. Repeatedly the Wyndham has come up BUT two or three weeks ago, it was $67.00 and now I think it is up to $87.00 a night so I am kicking myself for not buying at the $67.00 but I was kind of waiting to see if Swan or Dolphin would pop up and every day they have not, only Wyndham. I am fine with staying at the Wyndham, good location for Downtown Disney, but can anyone give me a guess as to whether or not they think it will go back down or it will just continue to climb? If I buy at $87.00 a night I will end up kicking myself if it goes back down to $67.00 and reverse for not buying and it goes to $107.00!!! I know you can't predict but does anyone have any idea of a general trend? Common sense would tell me that the closer it got to the time I go, the cheaper it should get provided they have availability as they would want to fill up rooms. At least that is my theory. I know I could probably do o.k. on Priceline with a $60.00 or so bid but I am fearful to do so for this trip as I don't want to get stuck at MWC or Gaylord Palms, both nice resorts I am sure, but I will have my three year old and don't want to rent a car. Would much rather have the predictability and convenience of either Downtown Disney or Swan/Dolphin. Sorry if I have rambled on too much. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.
