We are heading down to the Coconut Creek area August 3 - 7. I believe Pompano and N. Ft Lauderdale are fairly close. Hotwire is showing a few options, including: 2* in Pompano with amenities incl beachfront, pool, restaurant, tennis nearby, children's activities 3* N. Ft. Lauderdale (Best Value) with fitness center, pool, restaurant, laundry, gold nearby Any thoughts or other suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you!!

FINALLY! Gave up on Priceline when after multiple bidding every 72 hours I couldn't get a bid accepted although I went up to $135. Today, a 4 1/2* MTE on Hotwire was lowered to $125 and I grabbed it. Expected the UN Millenium, but got the Intercontinental Barclay. Maybe my headache will go away now... Thanks again for your help! :)

Well, I've noticed that Hotwire's pricing on certain hotels seems to go down during the last week, so I'm hoping something might show up. Worst case scenario, we pay a ridiculous amount of money, or stay in Secaucus, where we have a back-up room booked, although this is definitely not my preference!!

Still looking for a decent deal on a hotel for September 20 for 1 night. So far, my bids of up to $135 on Priceline were rejected. Anyone know what this hotel might be? Amenities are fitness center and business center only. Thanks!

Once again, appreciate your help! I think I'd be most interested in the MTE area, at least to begin with. Here's a new twist...after talking to my relatives who are also going to the wedding, I am now hoping to book 4 rooms. In terms of price, I would love to stay under $100, if possible, or not much over it, and go with a 4*. Do you think there's any chance of that?

We have a wedding at the Water Club on Sunday, which is the river and 34th, or something like that. We don't plan on doing a lot of touristy stuff, but I do want to be in a nice area. If you have any other suggestions, I'd appreciate it. I was also looking at Midtown East and maybe midtown South. And yes, it was the price that attracted me! One other question...we will have 2 adults and 2 kids in the room. Do you think we'll be okay in terms of being able to at least get 2 beds? Thanks for your help!

Amenities include Restaurant, Fitness Center, Business Center and Spa Listed at $116 I couldn't find anything about a 3 1/2* hotel on the Upper East Side - any thoughts? Thanks!
