  1. Tried three different days with lower bids for various areas in Atlanta and various stars, using previous wins from this site, however no success. Waited again, then rebid starting in the Galleria area and started with 60 dollars and got the Renaissance. Looks like a beautiful hotel. I went to PRICELINE from this site
  2. 6/9/11 - 6/12/11 - $65 Tried 4* from $65 to $75, decided to drop to 3.5* and got $65 on my first try. Figured I would start low since I have time to retry. Was actually surprised, and was thinking I would try 4* a few more times, but 3.5 at this price is great. Wondered if anyone has stayed here and has feedback.
  3. Consider yourself lucky because I am looking for those same dates, but have been unsuccessful for both 4 and 3 1/2 star hotels in the downtown area, for 85 and under. Waiting the obligatory wait time and trying again.
  4. I first bid $45 for a 4* and was rejected on that bid, so I put in $50 and added in the 3.5* and it was accepted. I've heard people use a free re-bid but I don't know what that is. I used the PRICELINE link in this site to bid.
  5. Using the PRICELINE link on this site, I won the following for two rooms: 3* Courtyard By Marriott Santa Rosa, $78...6/19/09 - 6/20/09 After winning the bid, I went to the Courtyard website and checked out the room price for the night that I was staying there and the price was shockingly, 289.00 (USD) per night per room. Very happy with the win. :)
  6. Thank you for your response. I am not actually concerned with the parking fees (which I expected in LA), or internet. We can go to a Starbucks to check out email. I never buy the bottled water or anything from the mini-fridge so that's nothing of consequence to me. I was referring to reviews talking about the cleanliness of the place. There was something I clicked on with pictures from a reviewer saying, call the health department. That does not thrill me, but I spose thats the chance you take and as you said, $50 a night, we'll deal with it. The hotel is probably older and dated, although the pictures on the website look very nice. Not a huge deal, just a bit disappointing. Whatever happens, I'll be happy with my winning bid of $50 a night.... (unless there are bedbugs!! hahaa!)
  7. First leg of a California vacation, three days in LA for a graduation. Using the PRICELINE link provided here, my first bid was 50 dollars, tried higher stars but got a 3 star Wyndham I was happy about until I read the reviews. I hope it's better than people have stated. 3* Wyndham (Costa Mesa - Irvine) $50 ... 6/15/09-6/18/09
  8. Using the PRICELINE link found here, I won two rooms @ 3 1/2* Doubletree Hotel San Francisco Airport, $55 ... 6/20 - 6/21
  9. Using the PRICELINE link found here, I won several different hotels. Since we are traveling that weekend, we booked one hotel for Fisherman's Wharf, one in Santa Rosa and the last night near the airport. Here are the winners, two rooms each: 3* San Francisco (Fishermans Wharf) Holiday Inn, $70 ... 6/18/09-6/19/09 3* Courtyard by Marriott Santa Rosa, $78 ... 6/19 - 6/20 3 1/2* Doubletree Hotel San Francisco Airport, $55 ... 6/20 - 6/21 Didn't know if I should list these separately or all together. First time.
