Third bid on 3/9, $75, rejected. Fourth bid on 3/12, $75, rejected. Fifth bid on 3/13, $70, rejected. Sixth bid on 3/14, $80, rejected. Seventh bid on 3/15, $75, rejected, changed to 3* for 2nd attempt, $50, rejected. Eighth bid on 3/16, changed back to 4*, $75, ACCEPTED. Westin Convention Center Pittsburgh.

I've been trying for several days to get a a 4* in Pittsburgh for 3/21. Started at $60 and have gone up to $75 in $5 increments. Not sure what's going on? Previously, bids between $65 and $75 had success according to past posts.

Flying to Chicago morning of Dec. 3 for a one night weekend Holiday shopping visit with my wife. Desire a 4* in either North Mich. Ave./River North or MP/Loop/Grant Park areas. Last year in early December I got the Hilton across from Grant Park for $99. Started bidding this morning with North Mich. for $69. Rejected Continued bidding by adding Grant Park area, same price. Rejected. Continued bidding by adding Boutique Hotels and raising bid to $79. Rejected. Now waiting for 72 hours to expire. I have a reservation through Marriott Rewards at the Marriott Renaissance for $159 so I'm trying to come in under that--preferably at the $100 level or less like last year. Suggestions for next round other than raising the bid?
