I would like to spend $250. I'm not sure how low to go in regards with stars want to stay somewhere safe and clean. Should I stay above 3 * is 2.5 okay? Thanks

Looking for information on bidding on priceline. I am travelling with my 8 year old daughter to New York on November 1oth just plan to stay one night. Have a reservation at the Jersey City Courtyard for $192 but we would like to stay in the city. Would appreciate any help. Thanks
