Priceline stinks... BEWARE... I bid 65.00 for a four or five star property... Priceline assigned me to this ancient dump although it is not listed as either a four or five star property on their own website...it is listed as a RESORT... Priceline's customer service is a guy in the Phillipines named PEGGY ( not really ) who only tells you that they have the right to send you to any old dump... as long as they call it a resort... DO NOT BID ON PRICELINE UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO SETTLE FOR A CRAPPY OLD PROPERTY...

saw a 4 star hotel in cancun south for 35 per night... bought one night and received the gran melia... bought 6 more nights upon learning the hotel's name...

HOTWIRE offered a five star hotel october 24 28 for 83.00 per night... received the meridien... i have informally visited this hotel in the past and was pleased... reviews now complain about next door construction... i am a bit nervous...

conclusion.... used priceline to get a room in October...

just bid $65.00 on a resort in cancun 2/27/09 to 3/6/09...was denied... any suggestions??? made my bid after clicking on the better bidding PRICELINE link... patrick

As I said the hotel was the Marival club and suites... i paid a very reasonable price for two. the hotel was clean and nice but not on a par with a true 4 star resort... the staff ( with the exception of the fron desk) was hospitable, the rooms were older, noisy and needed refurbishing...all in all a great budget vacation! :) Hotwire gave these clues... Just booked a 4 star resort for puerto vallarta... received the Marival all inclusive for two for one week -7 nights - for 850.00... i will report back on my trip

Used this site to book an all inclusive for two. i paid 868.00 for a room for one week at the "Marival Grand and club suites" in puerto vallarta/Nuevo vallarta.. 123.00 per night... Expedia wanted 210.00 per night for the same hotel by name... i then booked blind on the airfare on hotwire and received the same flight that was name listed for 540.00 per person for the price of 382.00 same times and same flights I have read the reviews and i am impressed.. i will drink more than my share and will report back to the board on the hotel conditions
