  1. I began by bidding 40.00 and choosing 2.5 stars in Anchorage zone. Rejected but offered a 48.00 rebid. Choose to bid 41.00 and add South ANc. Was rejected. Added Wasilla ( ony 1 & 2 stars available) upped bid to 44.00. Got the Fairfield by Marriot. It is right next to the Crowne Plaza . Anchorage locals name this part of town Midtown. Hotels in this area are the Hilton Garden Inn, Homewood Suites, Alpine, Embassy Suites, Best Western, Motel 6. and a few more. The other areas of Anchorage are Downtown, South, and for PRice line East Municipality of ANchorage=Hotel Aleska( ski resort about 40 miles out). Was really pleased with my win. Looking forward to it. Thanks

  3. Nice hotel. Very convienent. Free parking, internet. No cont. breakfast. Juno restaurant is good. Pool, Fitness Center, Business Center, shuttle. Would stay there again at this price!!!
  4. Stayed 2 nights at the Residence Inn, Edina. Wonderful stay. They were remodeling and our room had never been stayed in. We had a King suite with a pull out queen. It has a little kitchen with granite counters, bathroom the same. There were sliding doors to close off the living and bedroom space. Very quiet!! This property is connected to a Mini Water park. It is free with your stay. WOuld have been great for small kids. Mine are in there 20s. Also nice hot breakfast with a patio area and an evening reception with hot appetizers Mon-Thurs. Overall very nice place for 55.00 a night. Also close to a Target and Kohls and many restaurants and other shopping. Really liked it!!
  5. I bid 45.00 yesterday and did not get anything. Waited 24 hours and upped it to 55.00. Was hoping for a "Hotel" but this will work since it will be a family and it will have more space. We won't be there other than sleeping. We'll see how it goes. I will check the reviews on Trip Advisor. I have looked before and recall it was a positve reviewed place. Good price though. Used the PRICELINE link on Better Bidding. Thanks for all your hard work.
  6. Pretty good deal! Found it at 101.00 a night winter rate. Going for a 3 day weekend. Can get really spendy fast here in Alaska. Was happy with this. Was hoping for a 3 1/2 star but no go. THis was a Supersavings--- Best Value Deal on HOTWIRE. Ammenities: Continental breakfast, Airport Shuttle, Fitness, pool, high speed internet, business center , laundry It was was the pool the tip the id. **The city zones should be listed as Downtown, midtown, south and airport. They combined Midtown and AIrport and really omitted the south end.
  7. Needed a night on the road. Was rather rushed to get it booked. 83 for a night on the road was a bit expensive. Nice hotel , older hotel. Upgraded. Downtown location. Close to many restaurants. Two weddings and a class reunion in the hotel. Still a quiet nights sleep. Did not eat in the hotel. Think you could get a better price but we were in a pinch. Friendly staff and clean.
  8. Could you possibly list the amenities that you viewed on this hotel. I would love to land this but the list on Better bidding shows a non smoking hotel but in the list that I see on Hotwire it lists, rest, fitness, pool, internet, bus, golf nearby, ---no shuttle Trying to determine if this is the actual hotel. Thanks so much
  9. 2 1/2 * Clackamas for 2/28/08-3/3/08 Bid 35.00 _ Just hopeful - Rejected! Not surprised -free re-bid --added Northwest - for 40.00 rejected. waited my 24 hours. -2 1/2 * Clackamas for 2/28/08-3/3/08 Bid 50.00 - Just want it to stick -- Rejected -free re-bid --added Northwest - for 55.00-- rejected. On Priceline the rooms go for 84.00 on their website 85.00-101.00 Is there anything I can do to make this work? Tomorrow I am going to jump to 60.00 then 65.00. It will save us about 80.00 but was hoping for better since I have seen it won in Oct for 45.00. I just found out that if you bid for 4 nights you do not often get that bid for the whole bid. I was advised to bid for 2 nights at a time. Any other advice would be great. thanks so much!!! Thanks
  10. I did not realize that if you bid for more than 2-3 days the bid would not be accepted. So my question is about splitting my bid. If I go for 2/28 ---2/29 and then rebid for 3/1-3/3 that should do it? Of not I will just bid my rooms at regular price for what I need. We are going to Portland for an unexpected - non pleasure but required trip. We are on a fairly tight budget and I think we are ok so far. I do have a couple of other options too. Thanks for your expertise.
  11. So sorry! I was a little sleepy Feb. 28 through March 3rd. Thank you
  12. Gave up on Gresham . Heard some negative things about the area so I am now trying Clackamas. Same distance from where I need to be. Found a Courtyard by Marriott 2 1/2 stars /great reviews in Clackamas. -2 1/2 * Clackamas for 2/3/28/08-3/3/08 Bid 35.00 _ Just hopeful - Rejected! Not surprised -free re-bid --added Northwest - for 40.00 rejected. waited my 24 hours. -2 1/2 * Clackamas for 2/3/28/08-3/3/08 Bid 50.00 - Just want it to stick -- Rejected -free re-bid --added Northwest - for 55.00-- rejected. 13. Will be needing a 3* in thePortland/ Gresham area for 4-5 days in the next 3 weeks. The lists are pretty skimpy so am hoping someone has some updates. THanks
  14. I stayed there through a HOTWIRE win about 5 years ago. It is a nice business hotel. very close to the airport and mall of America. We were up on the 12th floor. Had a cool veiw of all the airtraffic. Nice room. No complaints. Enjoy your stay. They do have a nice pool. We did not use it though.
  15. I was looking for a Hilton product hotel in downtown St. Paul and came across the Hilton Garden Inn ( used to be a Raddison -I think) and the Embassy Suites. In reading the reviews, 3 people posted that they have that hotel from Priceline. It i not listed on the hotel list yet. I was on Trip advisor and reading the reviews. Just thought I would give aheads up.
  16. I won the Sheraton 4 Points in the University area for 51.00 for oct. 6th. I started at 40.00 and tried 45.00 and won at 51.00. I have gotten it for 35.00 before. I needed 2 rooms because my son and I are running in The Twin Cities Marathon and 10 mile. We wanted to be close and not have to fight any traffic that day. I really like this hotel it is very nice and very quiet. Good beds and really nice staff. It is also dog friendly. I have always gotten this hotel when bidding 3* in this area. There are 2 other 3* s listed but have never gotten either one. I was hoping to get it and I did. Will sleep soundly and run like the wind.
  17. I have stayed here a few times and love it. It is very quiet and the hotel is very nice. Convienent to downtown.
  18. I need 2 rooms at a hotel in Minneapolis. One for me and one for my son and his girlfriend. We will be arriving at different times. Can he check in earlier? I will be paying for the rooms. Not sure how to do this? Cannot find anything specific. Thanks
  19. I have stayed at the Holiday Inn on 35W and 94th. Nice, clean hotel with a Green Mill restaraunt attached. Easy access to all shopping ( 10-15 min ride) but all main Hwys.Quiet sleep! Personnel were very nice!!! Would stay there again if I could find a rate for the times I need.
  20. We will be there March 31 and April 1. I would love to get something in the 45.00 range either 2.5 or 3.
  21. Sorry, I went back and updated my past posts and requests. Did not use hotwire or pricline for 3 of the four. am so hoping to get a deal this time.
  22. this 4-points is at 1330 Industrial Blvd. in Mpls. Near I 35. It is 3 miles north of Mpls. center. It was a fab. hotel in an odd area but abosolutely great. Huge bed with many pillows, lovely room, very quiet!!!!
  23. I just stuck with the regular reservations due to planning this trip for my elderly parents. Did not want to goof it up for them. They had a wonderful trip for their 56 anniversary!
  24. 5 ended up going with a timeshare for the entire week for 325.00 . Did not use Priceline or Hotwire. Was a great place at a great price!
  25. I am planning a trip the end of March. I have looked at Hotwire and Priceline and search this forum but the info is pretty old. Anybody have any new information.
