  1. Won this hotel for the same dates a year ago at $42. Started bidding this year at $40. Bid rejected. At $42, received a counter offer to add $12 for a total of $54. I had time so I declined. I increased my bid by $2 each day, and finally won at $48. There is one other zone in this city (North Ocean City) but I never included it, as I wanted to be further south and was fairly confident that I would get the Marriott or similar after I received the counter offer at $42. used the PRICELINE link.
  2. Subtotal for 4 rooms was $260. Taxes and fees, $46.20. Started bidding at $50, rebid in $5 increments. At $60 received a counteroffer asking me to add $15. Rejected the counteroffer and continued with re-bidding. Won at $65. Rack rate for this night is $189. Used the PRICELINE link.
  3. Dates are March 13-March 16. Showing $60 for this hotel. Amenities are: smoke free, fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, laundry, and internet. The Hotel Menage shows up as 3.5* and bookable through Hotels.com, so I am assuming it is not that? Is it a good chance it is the Holiday Inn? I don't normally do Hotwire, but if I could be assured that it is a hotel within walking distance to Disney, I might try it. Thanks, in advance.
  4. Been bidding this for a friend for about a week. Her daughter is running in the ING marathon over the weekend. Previously rejected up to $90 for 4 star and $80 for a three star. Used permutation bidding. Started tonight's bidding at $70 and went up in $5 increments with each re-bid. At $80, I received a counter offer to raise my bid by $20. Rejected that and added another zone, bid $85 and was accepted. Told my friend to be patient; it seems like many of the Miami/Coral Gables wins are at the last minute. Used the PRICELINE link. Rack rate for these dates is $289. HOTWIRE was offering a 4* for $131, that may or may not have been the Hyatt. This is a great deal.
  5. Started bidding a few days ago at $38. Did not do any free re-bidding, as I did not want to stay in the North zone. Lowest rate is $79 pre-paid. Taxes and fees on 2 rooms for 2 nights are $27.96.
  6. Started bidding at $40; received a counter offer to add $15. Rejected that and started re-bidding using computation bidding. At $44 received another counter offer to add $15; rejected and just kept re-bidding in $2 increments. Accepted at $48. Taxes and fees of $13.06 for a total of $61.06. Rack rate is $139. Used the link to start bidding.
  7. I bid late on Sunday 10/31 for FQ and DT for 11/11-11/15 at got the Sheraton for $63. I started my bidding at $50 and using permutation bidding, upped my bids in $2 and $3 increments. Strange that there is a $20 a night difference for such similar dates; but you never know. I feel bad, I should have reported this win earlier. A cousin staying 11/9-11/14 just got the Sheraton last night for $64; but he did have $10 per night bonus cash.
  8. I am new to this board and Hotwire. Have lots of experience with priceline. If someone could help ID the following 3 hotels, I would really appreciate it. Key West Oct16-Oct 20 4* Suite, Beachfront, restaurant, pool, fitness center, hi-speed internet, business center. Could this be Sheraton Suites? 3.5* Resort, beachfront, restaurant, pool, fitness center, tennis nearby (Best Value). Casa Marina? 3* Beachfront, restaurnat, pool(s), fitness center, spa services, hi-speed internet, tennis nearby, business center. Wyndham Reach? I would really like to get the Casa Marina and don't want to accidentally pick the Reach if I've got things mixed up. Thanks.
