  1. Fairly certain it was the La Meridien after researching on Betterbidding and that's exactly what I won. Amenities listed as: Pet friendly Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access Their website price totaled almost $500. Booked through Hotwire for $321 so an approximate $180 savings...which will go towards all the parking charges! Also used the Hotwire link! Thanks Betterbidding!
  2. Primarily looking for a pet friendly hotel near SF this weekend. Any idea what this hotel could be? Amenities are as follows: Free Internet Swimming Pool Pets Allowed Fitness Center Restaurant Business Center
  3. Won the Venetian after starting at $90 for 5 star hotels. Paid a total of $326 vs. the website rate of $468. Used the PRICELINE link as well. Thanks BetterBidding!
  4. Started bidding at $90. Was targeting Financial District or SOMA zone. Immediately got a free re-bid for $138 or something in that ballpark. Decided to continue adding zones and re-bidding and won the Hilton at $115. Total for 3 nights was $409.80...the best I could find online for the Hilton was a total of $606. Thanks BB.
  5. Been trying for a while to book this but have always been unsuccessful bidding up to $110. Saw the recent posts and tried to get the same $115 per night price. $100..$112..finally hit on $114. Couldn't be happier! Total price including taxes and fees is $139.71...compared to Omni's lowest rate of $175 (not including tax) = Big savings for me. Thanks Betterbidding!
  6. Started bidding at $75, moving up $5 increments, and ended unsuccessfully at $110. Only targeting the Embarcadero area so I'll try my luck later.
  7. Basically followed an example for a previous post. Researched Hotwire and saw what looked like the 4 Points Sheraton for $54 (total of $70.51 with taxes and fees included). Hotel website rates were $89 ($98.12 total) So started off with 3* Pleasanton bid of $40 = rejected Added Martinez for $42 = rejected Added Pittsburg for $44 and was accepted at the Sheraton. Total $54.96...compared to $92.88 online direct from Sheraton. HAPPY!
  8. Started at $40 expecting to bid upwards a little bit based on previous posts but it was accepted on my first attempt. Direct booking through website would have been $199 per night...CRAZY! Used the PRICELINE link....thanks BB
  9. Got the Aria for $118 per night...total of $272. If booking through the hotel website, it would have cost $445. I used the HOTWIRE link. Thank you betterbidding! Also, it's described as: Resort, Casino, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-speed Internet Access
  10. I just tried this for 5/6-5/9; however, was unsucessful up to $94 per night
  11. Bid $55 and accepted. Used the PRICELINE link. Thanks betterbidding!
  12. Yes, I found out about the $12 "resort fee" upon check in. It's just really annoying because I called the hotel directly before booking through priceline and they expressly told me there was NO parking fee. Never mentioned the "resort fee"....which includes parking. Tricky tricky.
  13. Started at $64...got message for a free rebid for an additional $17...declined Add rebid zone and increased to $69...rejected Add rebid zone and increased to $74...accepted. thanks betterbidding and i used your PRICELINE link :)
  14. Started with fullsize for $15, rejected Added standard and changed the price to $17, rejected Added midsize and changed the price to $19, accepted. Booking directly through alamo.com would have cost $113.43 for this 1 day rental!! Crazy!! Used the PRICELINE link from betterbidding! Thanks!
  15. Got it on my first bid of $40. Lowest direct website price was $76 (before taxes and fees). Pretty good deal I think. I would have rather stay at a nicer 4* hotel in Costa Mesa for slightly more...but I found out they charge $15-20 for parking per night...so this was a much better deal since parking is FREE!! Used the PRICELINE link also! Thanks betterbidding :)
  16. Tried to get the Marriott in the French Quarter for $62 like others have reported but was unsucessful. Tried many different combinations of french quarter and downtown zones and got the JW Marriott on my final rebid for $90. Happy with the win considering it's one of the Mardi Gras weekends, Saints might be in the Super Bowl that weekend, and the direct website rates for the JW Marriott are $167 per night! Also used the PRICELINE link! Thanks :)
  17. Started bidding at $55...rejected. Received offer for free rebid with $17 price increase...declined. Added zone and rebid for $58...accepted. Also used the PRICELINE link from BetterBidding.com. Thanks!

  20. Looked at the previous threads for this area and saw a winning bid for $49 during the weekend. I started at $47, rejected...but did get an offer to increase my bid by $13 for a free rebid. Seeing that message, I knew I was close. Added another zone and rebid for $49, accepted. Also used the PRICELINE link for the purchase. Thanks betterbidding!
  21. Got it on my first try @ $85. Previously got this property at $88 so I thought I was within the correct range. Hotel website's lowest rates are over $200 per night for that date so I saved more than 50%. Specifically targeted this hotel because I've stayed there in the past and been happy with the rooms and location. Also used the PRICELINE link through this site!
  22. I'd like to try for a Resort up to my limit first. Thanks, Gene
  23. Hi, I wanted to get some help with my bidding strategy for the Waikiki Beach area. I'm looking for 3 rooms for September 4-8th. I'm looking to spend a maximum of $130 per night (before taxes and fees), per room, for either a 4* or Resort. Recent wins with very similar dates won the Hyatt Regency at $130, which is what I'm aiming for, but didn't include bidding history so any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated.
  24. My best guess would be the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach with 4/5 stars and 394 reviews.
  25. Dates are from Sunday Oct 12-18 and priced at $89 per night. Amenities include: Suite Beachfront Fitness Center Pools Restaurant Tripadvisor has 4/5 ratings and 380+ reviews. Any suggestions?
